Job Purpose:
The Cashier will be responsible for the F&B outlet cash handling procedure, accurately charging customers for their food purchases, matching the daily takings report and supporting a flawless service operation.
Duties and responsibilities
- Arrange the daily float and prepare the credit card machines for service
- Carrying out opening and closing procedures according to the checklist provided
- Handling cash and credit card transactions using a POS (Point of Sale) register
- Handling customer complaints or payment disputes
- Assisting the management in verifying discounts and voids
- Completing daily cash-up reports according to company procedure, ensure takings match with POS report
- Carry out discrepancy investigations with help of the management
- Ensure the correct float amount is kept safe for the next days operation
- Change the cash float to ensure adequate amount of notes/coins are available for the operation
- Ensure the necessary stock level of till rolls are on premises and assist the management in reordering
- Assist with any other necessary service aspect
- Adhere to company policies and procedures
- Represent the company to the highest standard possible whilst striving for perfection

Work Experience
Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Cashier in the hospitality industry
Restaurant experiences preferred
Experience in working with strict company cash handling policy
Skills Required
Excellent spoken and written English
Hands on, hard working in a busy environment
Ability to have positive interactions with all customers
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Computer literate, must have experience using POS system
Excellent customer service skills
Extensive food and beverage knowledge
Good communicator and team player

**Qualifications**:
Diploma, undergraduate or graduate certificate preferred
