Position Summary: Daily shift Jobs planning, guiding and assigning jobs to shift technicians, carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance Major Responsibilities & Duties: - Responsible for shift activities & smooth running electrical equipment. - Responsible for Daily Housekeeping in all MCC & switchgear. - Ensure Proper Lock out system is followed. - Routine testing D.G. set operation and noting down parameters. - Identifying of spares requirement if any & to submitted to G-shift Supervisor - Daily shift log book writing with all details. - Walk around in plant to inspect proper working of all Motors, AC package units, firefighting system, all MCC, Plant lighting, Z conveyor, stacker Re claimer, water complex etc. - Daily Energy report preparation. - Close monitoring of all shift readings taken by shift technicians during shifts & signing reading book. - Ensuring sufficient quantity of Diesel stock for DG sets operation follow up with DRIC store. - Reporting at the end of each shift for shift status & if any abnormal observations during plant rounds - Overall co-ordination during plant shutdown activities to understand and follow the organizational HS&E policies. - To keep workplaces clean, neat and tidy. - To follow safety instructions related to their jobs. - To report damaged PPE, unsafe machines or equipment to concerned staff. - To keep the provided PPEs in good, workable conditions. - To avoid any horseplay and abuse of safety devices, equipment and welfare facilities. - To report any accidents, near misses or hazardous conditions to concerned responsible. - To attend safety trainings planned for them. - Having a right to say "NO" to any unsafe work. Other Responsibilities: Take responsibilities of Shift in charge or supervisor in their absence. Maintain discipline and punctuality. Work with safety.
