**This role is available for immediate joining and is for an initial 6 month fixed term contract as an outsourced employee through J10 Consulting.**
**The project location is in EASTERN PROVINCE, KSA**
**Responsibilities**:
- Provide MEP systems advice to the team and client in relation to systems installation, testing, commissioning, and handover
- In conjunction with the team identify any non-conformance and coordinate appropriate rectification
- Oversee and supervise contractor progress and identify any progress concerns
- Review of design consultants and contractors for compliance with their contractual responsibilities.
- Identify risks and develop appropriate mitigation measures in conjunction with the team and the client
- Oversee the technical submittal process and identify any issues inhibiting the process of submission, review and approval.
- In conjunction with the management team, ensure ITP’s and Work Method Statements have been correctly prepared, approved, and complied with by the contractor
- Oversee the performance in finalising authority design approvals, and the contractor’s performance in relation to obtaining necessary authority permits during installation and at completion
- Coordinate with the client to ensure their requirements and expectations are met in relation to the MEP works
- Conduct periodic inspections and advise the team and client regarding compliance.
- Participate in any necessary quality audits in relation to MEP works
- Oversee the testing and commissioning program and ensure contractor compliance in conjunction with the Supervision Consultant
- Involved in the whole pre-commissioning, Testing & commissioning process of the MEP installation.
- Develop & follow up the Testing and Commissioning schedule of the whole MEP system.
- Responsible to arrange and submit project close out documentation as per project requirement.
- Coordinate and follow up with project construction team, 3rd party T&C agent, consultant and client to ensure MEP system are healthy & operation is approved by client.
- Prepare all Method Statements and Risk Assessments related to T & C as per project requirement.
- Investigating problems, diagnosing/repairing faults.
- Coordinate with suppliers & specialist to provide training for operative staff where applicable.
- Assist the team with change management and provide any necessary recommendations upon the same
- Manage the handover of MEP systems to the Operator
- Ensure As-builts and O&M Manuals requirements are completed in accordance with the owner and operator’s requirements
- Manage MEP defects rectification during the defects liability period
- Attend coordination meetings
MEP Manager - Testing & Commissioning requirements:
- Degree qualified: Bachelor Degree or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering;
- 8+ years of experience and having consultancy experience in building and infrastructure projects;
- Professional membership preferred - Preferably having CSA - Certificate (Commissioning Specialist Association)
- A “rounded profile”, comfortable with overseeing all aspects of supervision, design, technical submittal procedures, procurement, installation (QA/QC), and testing and commissioning.
- Effective in building good working relationships with client, contractor, and design team.
