**Who are we looking for?****:
We are looking for a Material developer with work experience in the petrochemical industry.

**Qualifications**:

- Master or Ph.D. in Materials Science, Polymers Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related field.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in these fields is preferred
- Knowledge or expertise with Polyolefin technologies, preferably polypropylene.
- Broad knowledge of molecular characterization techniques for polymers.
- Skills in statistical experimentation and data analysis methods.
- Self-driven and proactive with the ability to identify and lead innovative opportunities.
- Ability to think creatively and communicate complex technical ideas effectively in both technical and commercial environments.
- Critical observer as well as a conceptual and analytical thinker.
- Team player being able to drive and operate in cross-functional teams.
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- The position requires excellent written and oral English communication skills.

**Duties and **responsibilities**:

- Optimizing the existing portfolio and developing new innovative products;
Assisting our manufacturing and marketing organization in bringing products to market.
- Steer and support the implementation of (new) products from T&I pilot plant to commercial plants
- Assess competitor landscape and define gaps and opportunities to improve SABIC’s product portfolio
- Bring the technological challenges of commercial plants into T&I and solve those through translating them to pilot plant scale
- Support the intellectual property and market facing organizations (Segments, MDTM, AD&IS) in material development related matters
- Translate business and/or T&I strategy into plans; identify opportunities for technological product innovation and propose T&I initiatives/projects
- Provide answers for technical questions and challenges in the field of material development based on scientific knowledge, patent and scientific literature and experimental work
- Guide and coach the junior colleagues in the field of material science
- Keep the scientific standards of the reports
