**Job Summary**:
To execute & supervise; the preventive, corrective and condition based maintenance activities, annual outage and overhauling work activities on plant equipment in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with the approved Standard Operating Procedures, quality standards, time schedules with strict adherence to safety.

**Roles & Responsibilities**:

- Comply with safety rules and regulations. Be fully aware of the safety hazards in the plant.
- Familiar with plant equipment OEM manuals, P&IDs, SOPs, Work instructions, as well as the emergency procedures and any other related documents.
- Execute & supervise that the preventive, corrective and condition based maintenance activities, annual outage and overhauling work activities on plant equipment are performed in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with the approved Standard Operating Procedures, quality standards, plan & time schedules with strict adherence to safety.
- Supervise the work of instrument technicians; provide directions to them during maintenance activities in order to maximize the plant availability and reliability. Should have thorough knowledge related to control & logic diagrams, wiring diagrams and protection drawings related to the equipment and process used in the plant.
- Execute work order through CMMS (SAP) and co-ordinates with maintenance engineer for job completion and technical matters.
- Take quick actions during emergency maintenance requirements in the plant. Ensure document maintenance concerns/history for the equipment maintained.
- Have a complete understanding of the permit to work system procedure applied to the plant. Receive and cancel permits to work per authorization. Ensure housekeeping is carried out before the release of the PTW and coordinate with Operation during the necessary testing to check the equipment or system after maintenance.
- Prepare purchase requisitions for spare parts and consumables ensuring budgetary constraints and arrange strategic spares availability to cope up with the maintenance requirements.
- Ensure the availability of all necessary tools, lifting equipment or any such supporting devices to effectively carry out the maintenance activities in the respective equipment as well as their certification as part of safety and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with Shift In Charge/Shift Supervisor during the activities in the plant.
- Acquire considerable knowledge of the process and the relevant systems throughout the plant and applies the same to trouble shoot problems and leads the maintenance team in resolving the issues.
- Assist in the training and familiarization of new personnel in the team. Provide on-the-job training to new employees and evaluate their OJT Performance.
- Identify the competency gap for their subordinate personnel and support to enhance the competency.
- Carry out annual performance evaluation of reporting employees
- Report emergencies and incidents and near misses
- Ensure effective resource utilization.
- Identify and control of hazards in assigned work area
- Perform 5S housekeeping in his area of work.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

**Skills**:
**Educational**: Degree in Instrumentation / Electronic Engineering

**Minimum Experience**: 6 years of Experience as IC Supervisor in thermal power plant preferably.

**Required Skills**:

- Awareness of Quality, Occupational Health & Safety and Environment Management system principles.
- Be able to work both in independently and in a team environment completing objectives efficiently with a sense of responsibility.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with all levels of the organization both written and verbal.
- Strong organizational, prioritization, and problem solving skills with focus on attention to detail.
- In-depth knowledge in Hazard Risk Assessment.
- Experience in identification, classification and disposal of waste.
- Be able and willing to work in non-ideal environments such as: confined spaces, working at heights, dusty/dirty and around chemicals
