We are seeking a visionary and experienced Urban Planner to join our innovative team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our rapidly evolving city through strategic urban development initiatives and sustainable planning practices.
- Develop and implement comprehensive urban planning strategies aligned with the city's long-term vision and goals
- Lead the design and execution of large-scale urban development projects, ensuring adherence to local regulations and best practices
- Analyze complex data sets and create detailed reports to inform decision-making processes and policy recommendations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, engineers, and environmental specialists, to create integrated urban solutions
- Conduct thorough site analyses and feasibility studies for proposed development projects
- Prepare and present urban planning proposals to stakeholders, government officials, and community groups
- Oversee the development and implementation of zoning regulations and land use policies
- Incorporate sustainable development practices and smart city technologies into urban planning initiatives
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budgets
- Stay abreast of emerging trends and innovations in urban planning and sustainable development
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to the overall growth of the urban planning department
** Qualifications**:
- Master's degree in Urban Planning, Architecture, or a closely related field; Ph.D. is a plus
- 3-6 years of progressive experience in urban planning or a related field, with a focus on large-scale urban development projects
- In-depth knowledge of urban planning principles, practices, and sustainable development concepts
- Proficiency in urban planning software, including ArcGIS, AutoCAD, and other relevant tools
- Strong data analysis and visualization skills, with the ability to interpret complex information and present it clearly
- Excellent project management abilities, including experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas to diverse audiences
- Thorough understanding of zoning regulations, land use policies, and urban planning legislation in Saudi Arabia
- Demonstrated experience in incorporating smart city concepts and technologies into urban planning initiatives
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and a strategic mindset
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Excellent leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to guide and inspire team members
- Familiarity with local and regional urban planning regulations and development practices in Saudi Arabia
- Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and embrace innovative approaches to urban planning challenges
