Fund Operations Associate

About the Role:
As the KV team and portfolio grow, we are looking to bring on an Operations Officer to support the Fund's back office, administrative, accounting, organizational, and communicational operations, and other areas that will contribute to the growth of the firm and portfolio companies.

**Responsibilities**:

- Manage internal fund operations and support on all elements of the fund management, including fund controlling, quarterly investor reports, capital calls, distributions, as well as ad-hoc analyses.
- Liaise with the fund administrators and the finance function on fund and investment accounting of records, invoices, tax compliance, and general financial administration.
- Align with investment team to manage relevant data and develop and maintain fund content (e.g. internal reporting, presentations and slideshows, informational material, etc).
- Support internal and external communication and marketing activities (e.g. newsletters, social posts).
- Support in coordinating events and gatherings hosted by Khwarizmi inside/outside the office as needed.
- Act with discretion and confidentiality related to sensitive and/or personal and professional info.

Skills & Qualifications:

- A bachelor's degree.
- Experience in fund operations, finance, or accounting role.
- Basic understanding of accounting, compliance, and legal reviews.
- Prior experience with startups, VCs, and/or investment companies is a plus.
- Deep sense for processes
- Intermediate Excel skills.
- Experience working with internal and external stakeholders and third parties.
- Excellent communication skills in English (written & spoken).
- Demonstrated professional interpersonal skills with high level of motivation and self-confidence.
- Strong organizational skills with a proactive, detail-oriented, and independent work attitude.
- Comfortable with standard equipment and software of a modern office (e.g. Microsoft Office, Google Suite, conferencing tools, etc).
- Upstanding moral character and high degree of integrity, ensuring confidentiality of information.
- Intuitive, self-motivated, and approaches challenges and tasks with a curious learner's mindset and comfort towards asking questions.

**Requirements**:

- A bachelor's degree.
- 3+ years of experience in an operations, finance, accounting, or project management role.
- Basic understanding of accounting, compliance, and legal reviews.
- Prior experience with startups, VCs, and/or investment companies is a plus.
- Deep sense for processes and intermediate Excel skills.
- Experience working with internal and external stakeholders and third parties.
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Arabic (written & spoken).
- Demonstrated professional interpersonal skills with high level of motivation and self-confidence.
