Job Title**:Electrical Engineer - Overhead Power Line (OHPL) Experience**

**Job Description**:
**Position Overview**: The Electrical Engineer - OHPL Specialist will be responsible for the design, maintenance, and improvement of overhead power line systems, ensuring they meet industry standards and regulatory requirements. This role involves both field and office work, requiring an understanding of electrical engineering principles, safety standards, and project management.

Key Responsibilities:
**Design and Planning**
- Develop and review designs for overhead power line systems, ensuring compliance with safety codes and electrical standards.
- Conduct site surveys and analyze geographical data to design effective and efficient OHPL layouts.
- Calculate electrical load, voltage, and line sag, and ensure that designs meet specified load-bearing requirements.
- Use engineering software to model, analyze, and simulate overhead line designs.

**Installation and Maintenance**
- Supervise the installation and maintenance of overhead lines, including transformers, circuit breakers, insulators, and other key components.
- Conduct routine inspections and perform preventative maintenance on OHPL systems to ensure reliable power delivery.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues related to OHPL structures, addressing concerns such as conductor wear, pole deterioration, and environmental impact.

**Safety and Compliance**
- Ensure compliance with national and international safety standards, such as NESC (National Electrical Safety Code) and OSHA regulations.
- Develop and implement safety protocols for working at height, dealing with live electrical lines, and mitigating environmental hazards.
- Work closely with regulatory bodies to maintain current knowledge of relevant legislation and compliance updates.

**Project Management**
- Manage OHPL projects from planning to execution, ensuring timely completion within budget.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including civil engineers, project managers, and field crews, for seamless project execution.
- Prepare and present project reports, budgets, schedules, and progress updates to stakeholders.

**Technical Support and Training**
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers, field staff, and contractors.
- Conduct training sessions on best practices, equipment handling, and safety protocols for overhead power line operations.

**Emergency Response and Troubleshooting**
- Respond to power outages and other emergencies, working quickly to restore service.
- Analyze the root cause of faults or failures in the overhead line system and implement corrective actions.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
- **Experience**: 3+ years of experience in OHPL design, installation, and maintenance.
- **Certifications**: Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred; OSHA certification is a plus.
- **Skills**: Proficient in power system analysis software, CAD, strong understanding of NESC and OSHA regulations, and excellent troubleshooting skills.

Pay: ﷼999.00 - ﷼1,000.00 per month
