Quantity Surveyor

Parsons is now seeking a **Quantity Surveyor **for one of our projects

**Responsibilities**:

- Supports in establishing requirements for all cost elements of the project and monitors deliverables for adherence to these criteria by third-party design consultants and works contractors.
- Reviews and validates Bills of Quantities prepared by others, evaluates payment certificates, and support claim analysis and agreement of change orders (variations).
- Perform site measurement, taking off of quantities, analysis of rates and preparation of bills of quantities, and cost estimation tasks
- Works with client to support development of project budgets, cash flow forecasts, and cost plans for a project
- Control project costs and budgets, including analyzing, evaluating, and forecasting financial impact of change orders.
- Support preparation of Monthly Reports

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 10 years of related work experience involving typical Quantity surveying activities.
- Ability to perform difficult estimating activities typical to the engineering and construction industry is required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills Familiarity with company and project procedures and practices.
- Must have a clear understanding of, and ability to work with, construction contract commercial documents, engineering drawings and specifications, and be qualified to be an estimate team leader.
