**Job Description Summary**:

- The Associate Medical Coder is responsible for assisting in the generation of codes for medical information. which includes reviewing clinical information and translating it into codes under the supervision of senior coders, utilizing the International Classification of Diseases code set (ICD.10) and any Classification of Health Interventions code set, or any other code sets mandated by the regulatory entities. to ensure accurate documentation and billing.

- Review patients medical record visits to assign appropriate codes for diagnoses and procedures to ensure accurate documentation and billing
- Interact with fellow coding team members to clarify diagnoses or obtain additional information to ensuring accurate coding

**Minimum Education Required**:

- Bachelors Degree in Health Information Management, Health Informatics, or equivalent.

**Professional Certifications Required**:

- Basic knowledge of International Classification of Disease.tenth edition.Australian Modification (ICD.10.AM) guidelines, Australian Classification of Health Interventions (ACHI), and Diagnosis.Related Groups (DRGs) or any other classification system or codes set mandated by regulatory entities, and knowledge in medical terminology and anatomy and physiology.

**Years of Experience**:

- Up to 2 years' experience in healthcare information setting, preferably in coding.

**Languages**:

- English:Fully Proficient ; Arabic:Not Required
