**Basic Function**:
Provides Clinical Engineering services with all aspects of technology management, including remedial & preventive maintenance program, work history data analysis, equipment acquisition planning, and installation, reviewing and developing of technical specifications for acquisition of new medical equipment ,supervision and monitoring of services provided by contractors companies engineers work and development of policies and procedures, and provision of clinical engineering services.

**Scope**:

- Work is in Johns Hopkins Aramco Healthcare, Healthcare Technology Management Division at Facility Management and Services Department in Dhahran and Districts (Al Hasa, Udhailiyah, Ras Tanura, and Abqaiq).
- Receive work direction through the Team leaders and/or Managers.

**Principal Contacts**:
Daily dealings with Managers and Director. Ongoing dealings with Senior Director, Supply Chain Management.

**Principal Duties**:
Roles include but are not limited to:

- Perform pre-purchase technical evaluation and product comparisons ,review, analyze, and provide recommendation for equipment packages received from vendor based on their requirements and provide technical packages with recommendations to Supply Chain Management
- Coordinate with medical and nursing staff in the development of technical and performance specifications for equipment for requirements of new technology.
- Supervises the installation, troubleshooting, repair and calibration of clinical equipment.
- Performs preventive maintenance, repairs, calibrate, tests and records results and maintains medical equipment and instrumentation being used at JHAH.
- Manages service contractors’ engineers performing remedial and preventive maintenance activities and service calls for medical equipment, ensure best practice, quality assurance, and appropriate delivery of service, and is adhered to service contract.
- Inspection of all incoming equipment on both new and returning equipment after repairs from vendors OOK and IK.
- Provide expert technical consultation to the capital equipment committees that review and propose and approve equipment procurement at JHAH.
- Investigates equipment related incidents, failure or malfunctions, conducts appropriate tests to determine cause; repairs, writing reports and documentation
- Maintains complete records, and reports and checklists reflecting preventive maintenance checks, calibration, modifications and repairs.
- Develops preventive maintenance procedures using manufacturer specifications/service manuals as source material.
- Provides technical support to end-users i.e., physicians, nurses, clinical staff etc. on medical equipment
- Ensure patient safety to the maximum extent possible by adhering to all applicable regulations, standards and requirements related to clinical studies, patient confidentiality, etc.
- Organize on-site training for physicians and other clinical personnel that might interact with medical equipment.

**Education**:

- B.S. degree in Bio-Medical or Clinical Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technology is required.
- Master degree is preferred

**Experience**:
At least 15 years of professional experience in a healthcare system.

**Certifications/Other requirements as applicable**:

- Excellent interpersonal skills and strong written, verbal, and presentational communication skills
- Valid driving license required; may require use of vehicle for traveling to districts i.e. Abqaiq, Ras Tanura, Al Hasa, Udhailiayh etc.
