- V-46**Basic Functions**
- Performs aircraft powerplant maintenance tasks on the AH64E, UH-60M and AH-6i as required using the specific OEM Operators Manuals and any other approved directives. Perform inspection, maintenance and repair of major assemblies, subassemblies and line replaceable unit’s (LRUs) of the AH-64E, UH-60M and AH-6i power plant related systems (engines and auxiliary power units). Perform troubleshooting, fault detection, fault isolation, and appropriate AVUM/AVIM corrective actions on the power plant related systems. Performs operator maintenance on tools and GSE. Provide technical direction and training to mentor Saudi Arabia National Guard (SANG), when needed. Ensures that all related maintenance operations are conducted in accordance with (IAW) safety regulations and directives.**Major Duties and Responsibilities**
- A. Duties/responsibilities:
1. Ensures that aircraft Powerplant maintenance and procedures are planned and coordinated with production control.- 2. Complies with established maintenance procedures.- 3. Establishes daily maintenance goals and priorities.- 4. Participates in daily power train maintenance.- 5. Works within the maintenance quality control procedures and standards.- 6. Supports the Downed Aircraft Recovery Team (DART), as needed.- 7. Ensures maintenance operations are conducted IAW safety regulations and directives.- 8. Provides On-the-Job Training (OJT), coaching, and mentoring to MNG personnel.- 9. Other tasks as directed by the first line supervisor or higher.B. Performs within the broad guidelines of duties and responsibilities under the direction and supervision of the mechanic section lead or PC supervisors.C. Supervisory Responsibilities: As directed by the first line supervisor or higher.**Minimum Qualifications**
- A. Education Level:
1. Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.- 2. Preferred: Advanced degree or equivalent.B. Training Certifications:
1. Required: Graduate of the US Army aviation powerplant maintenance course or military equivalent.- 2. Preferred: Graduate of the US Army aviation powerplant maintenance course or military equivalent and FAA A&P certification.C. Experience:
1. Required: 4 years’ as an aviation powerplant technician.- 2. Preferred: 6 years’ experience as an aviation powerplant technician.D. Specific knowledge, skills, ability:
1. Proficient in the use of computer-hosted interactive technical manuals, aircraft maintenance forms, and other aircraft related documentation.- 2. Proficient in MS Office software.- 3. Professional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.- 4. Ability to effectively communicate with the customer in a professional and courteous manner.- 5. Possess a valid issued driver’s license.- 6. Successfully pass an overseas deployment physical upon hire.
