**Your day to day**
Under the general guidance and supervision of the Credit Manager and within the limits of IHC policies and procedures, is responsible for overall guest ledger and its payment. Coordinates function and activities with personnel in finance and other related departments. People To allocate fairly duty and responsibilities to all of his subordinates. Assist Credit Manager in collecting payment from guest ledger account. Maintain good relationship among Credit Department & entire team. Performs related duties and special projects as assigned by Finance head. Financial Send reminders, messages to selected overdue accounts and make necessary contact (approach to the guest to obtain payment, additional deposit or other information related to the settlement of the outstanding balance). Recommends the cancellation of Credit facilities to hotel users based on payment record. Ensures accounts receivables over 60 days are promptly pursued for collection. Update Credit Stop List on monthly basis. Prepares letters and reminders for outstanding accounts over 60 days. Guest Experience Make sure commission claims from the Travel Agency and queries letter from Credit Card Companies are answered immediately. Respond in a courteous and prompt manner to all guest questions, complaints’ and/or request to ensure a high level of guest satisfaction Make courtesy calls to clients and make sure that invoices are received accordingly Ensures customers’ invoices are prepared in accordance with their requests and Hotel Policy and procedure. Handles investigation - requests of hotel guests on matters of invoicing Exchange Credit information with other IHG Hotels and head Office. Responsible Business Collect information as much as possible from all sources needed to determine actions on overdue account. Make progress report to the Credit Manager for follow up of unpaid overdue accounts; recommend account for cash basis Review the Aging report daily and assure AR clerks postings and invoices are properly done Conduct credit background of potential clients from sister hotels Key in approved guarantee letters; obtain credit card approval for accounts over floor limit. Meet with clients for follow -ups and maintain business relationship Attend training held within the department and also other training held at the hotel level as per the IHG like bomb threat 10 minutes trainer etc. Review and update the credit policy in yearly basis Ensures hotel credit Policy is adhered to by all concerned. Review the aging for overdue accounts and perform necessary actions Prepare credit meeting agenda and minutes
**What we need from you**
Bachelor’s degree / higher education qualification / equivalent in Accounting or Finance and three years in hotel accounting or an equivalent combination of education and experience in the similar field. Knowledge and working of Opera. Must speak fluent Arabic & English. This job requires ability to perform the following: Communicating with other people Mathematical skills, including basic math, good communication skills and ability to work in a group Problem-solving, reasoning, organizational and training abilities May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
