**Job title: Senior Accountant**

**Job description**:
**Role and responsibilities or main accountabilities**

**The Senior Accountant will be working closely with the Finance Lead**:

- Prepare and analyze Balance Sheet reconciliations. Support the Accounting Lead on various Audits requests (Tax, External Auditors, IKTVA). Provide supporting documentation for IKTVA quarterly reporting.
- Support the Monthly closing process (journal entries in SAP, run allocations, prepare FRS reporting). Fixed asset management (prepare AFE, create assets in SAP, run depreciation).
- Improve the quality of accounting entries (post clearing entries, cost centers & GL account analysis). Finance database maintenance (create/modify cost centers, GL accounts ).
- Support the calculation and payment of tax elements (withholding tax, income tax, VAT ). Support the Account Payables team in India.
- Drive improvements on our accounting processes (clearing of accounts, automation of postings )

**You are meant for this job if**:

- Qualified Accountant or Bachelor/master’s degree in accounting. Must be a qualified accountant or actively studying toward a recognized professional (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, CPA, or equivalent).
- Must have at least 5 years of experience in a MNC, preferably in the Manufacturing Industry, Oil & Gas industry experience would be considered an advantage.
- Familiarity with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Knowledge of ERP system (SAP) and reporting system (Hyperion) considered an advantage.
