**JOB PURPOSE**

BAE Systems is the UK Government’s nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) aircraft and train RSAF and Royal Saudi Naval Force personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons.

Ensuring that Continuing Airworthiness (CA) and maintenance activities on Typhoon aircraft are carried out in accordance with BAE Systems Saudi Arabia SALAM Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE) and the Quality Management System. Supervising the collection of flying performance data, including sortie and maintenance key performance indicators, oversee the generation of associated reports and identify performance trends, making recommendations to inform CA decision making. You will supervise all levels of CA Records/IMS Planning personnel. Responsible for direct line management including development of Technical Documentation/CA Records/IMS Planning personnel. Valuing the contributions of all personnel and ensure new members of the CA Records team and Maintenance Support Team are mentored by an experienced CA Records Supervisor or Maintenance Support Engineer. To manage the professional development of CA Records and IMS Planning personnel with attention on adherence of CA Assurance processes.***

**JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES**
- Plan and coordinate, in consultation with the SMU Maintenance Manager and Technical Documentation/IMS Planning Team Lead that all Continuing Airworthiness and maintenance activities conducted within their Area of Responsibility are carried out in accordance with current processes and procedures.
- Prioritise tasks in liaison with the SMU Maintenance Manager
- Deputise for the SMU Maintenance Manager, within the limits defined in the written delegation when required.
- Liaise with Fleet Planning engineers to resolve any maintenance tasking issues, reporting issues to the SMU Maintenance manager.
- Ensure all work tasked by the SMU Maintenance Manager is carried out and any issues that are likely to impact the aircraft programme are highlighted.
- Conduct review of aircraft maintenance data/records/activities, including aircraft configuration checks, to support preparations for internal/external audit and in support of on Aircraft Quality Assurance checks following scheduled maintenance
- Authorise the revision of Task Definitions within the Integrated Maintenance Solution (IMS) Maintenix Library, replacement of, or amendment to a Task within an individual Work Package
- Assist the development and review of Business Processes, Work Instructions and Working Aids used for IMS, ensuring any proposed changes are compliant with RSAF Regulation and IMS Core Team informed.
- Assist Managers and SMU personnel in providing specialist knowledge and input to IMS and Maintenix.
- Ensure the Business Processes and Work Instructions within eQMS are adhered to by all members of the Maintenance Support Team.
- Liaison with the Statement of Work (SoW) Planner and ensure the Pre-Input Review Meetings (PIRM) are attended by a MSE, escort and resolve any Maintenance Tasking issues, report to the SMU Maintenance Manager.
- Attend other forums, including the PORM and Gateway Reviews, Provide direct feedback to PORM.
- Liaison with the SMU Management (SMU Manager, Team Leaders) and SoW Planner to determine the prioritisation and allocation of additional engineering, for Aircraft to commence or in Depth Maintenance.
- Ensure that all activity within their control is permitted by the appropriate delegated authorization.
- Maintain documentation standards with regards to accuracy and completeness, and that it is archived and managed in accordance with relevant requirements.
- Assist the IMS Implementation Manager with the development and review of IMS business processes, work instructions and working aids relevant to SMU ensuring any proposed changes are compliant with RSAF regulation and are communicated to the IMS Core team.
- Ensure that good communication and liaison is maintained with both internal and external agencies, with particular attention to SMU aircraft acceptance & dispatch, Technical Queries and any reporting commitments to the Typhoon Support Centre (TSC) and relevant stakeholders.
- Provide support to electronic Form 700 or Engineering Support System (ESS) Quality Assurance (QA) and data QA checks, such that they are carried out when required and documented appropriately, highlighting issues to line management.
