**You will join our Building Department**

As our new Graduate Engineer
- Electrical, Buildings you will be part of our global High-Rise and Complex Buildings department, Ramboll’s dedicated team of high-rise experts which have designed over 200 tall building projects globally, including some of the most technically challenging. You would be responsible for working with engineers for design work in the High-Rise department in the Dubai office and supporting the global department which also has offices in India, United Kingdom, Singapore and other locations.

**Specific areas of key responsibility include the following**:
As a Graduate structural/ Electrical / Mechanical Design Engineer, you shall assist senior engineers for the design and delivery of all electrical and ELV systems of a wide range of projects in the building services. Key responsibilities and duties are listed, but not limited to, the below:

- Assist in electrical systems design, predominantly for building projects, including but not limited to MV and LV power systems, normal & emergency lighting systems, earthing & lightning protection systems, fire alarm and life safety systems, including integration of ICT, security systems and other ELV systems. To include preparation and delivery of design layouts, schematics, calculations, reports and specification from concept to tender design.
- Assistance and preparation of load estimation for the project, including coordination with other disciplines and third party for electrical load and other requirements.
- Assist to senior engineer for space planning, report and preliminary calculations during concept and schematic design stages.
- Where design on middle east projects is being performed remotely by other Ramboll offices or by subconsultant, collaborate closely with those remote design teams and ensure compliance with local requirements.
- Provide electrical engineering technical support and engage personally where required to successfully enable Local Authorities’ approvals on all projects.
- Carry out duties in accordance with company procedures and implement prescribed systems of work.
- Forecast, plan and manage own workload and progress against agreed plan and criteria. Have a willingness for work flexibility.
- Follow the company training scheme fulfilling objectives to assist personal development and provide a basis for future progression within the company.
- Strong attention to detail, team working, collaboration, organization and problem-solving skills.
- Ensure to follow QA/QC procedures in the projects.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ensure that Health & Safety is embedded into all work practices in line with company policies

- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Graduate Engineer. Minimum of 1 years’ experience in middle east will be beneficial.
- Awareness of electrical engineering building services design within different types of sectors, such as commercial, residential, etc.
- Awareness on sustainable design practices and technologies.
- An ability to adapt to different working styles and the business culture of the United Arab Emirates.
- Willingness to work within teams on multi-disciplinary projects and interacting with a wide range of architectural, engineering and planning disciplines.
- Membership (or working towards) to a professional institution is optional.
