Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented **ITS Operation Center Lead **to join our team, who will provide strategic leadership, integrate advanced ITS technologies, engage with stakeholders, ensure regulatory compliance, and oversee quality control processes for high-impact transportation safety projects.
**What You'll Be Doing**:
- Center Operations Oversight: Manage the day-to-day operations of the Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) center, overseeing traffic flow, incident detection, and emergency response.
- Team Supervision: Lead and supervise a team of ITS operators, ensuring staff are trained, supported, and performing to high standards.
- Operational Protocols Development: Establish, implement, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for incident detection, response coordination, and traffic monitoring.
- Traffic Management Coordination: Oversee the use of ITS technologies like CCTV, dynamic message signs (DMS), and traffic detectors to actively monitor and manage real-time traffic conditions.
- Data Analysis and System Improvement: Analyze traffic data and incident reports to identify trends, improve traffic management strategies, and recommend future ITS enhancements.
**What Required Skills You'll Bring**:
- Extensive knowledge of ITS operations, incident management, and real-time traffic monitoring.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage teams and multi-agency coordination.
- Proficiency in ITS and traffic management software, including systems for traffic monitoring and control.
- Excellent decision-making and crisis management abilities in high-pressure environments.
- Effective communication and reporting skills.
**What Desired Skills You'll Bring**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Transportation, Civil Engineering, Emergency Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 15+ years of experience in ITS or traffic operations, including 5+ years in a supervisory or lead role.
