Diesel Mechanic

**Job Overview**:
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our maintenance team. The Diesel Mechanic will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines and diesel-powered vehicles and equipment. This role requires expertise in mechanical troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance to ensure the safe and efficient operation of all diesel-powered machinery.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Perform diagnostics and repair on diesel engines, transmissions, and other components of vehicles and heavy equipment.
- Conduct routine maintenance including oil changes, filter replacements, fluid checks, and lubrication of diesel-powered vehicles and machinery.
- Identify mechanical problems and provide accurate repair solutions in a timely manner.
- Inspect and maintain diesel-powered vehicles and equipment to ensure they meet safety and regulatory standards.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance, repairs, and parts used for each vehicle or machine serviced.
- Replace or repair parts such as belts, hoses, and gaskets, as needed.
- Test and adjust mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Work with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and equipment downtime is minimized.
- Adhere to safety protocols and work in compliance with all safety regulations.
- Use diagnostic tools and specialized equipment to troubleshoot issues.
- Communicate with supervisors or clients to report on machinery condition and needed repairs.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices related to diesel mechanics.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent (additional certification in diesel mechanics or related field is preferred).
- Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or in a similar role, with hands-on experience in repairing and maintaining diesel engines.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and related components.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot issues.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver’s license (specific certifications may be required based on the role).

**Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to [Insert weight] pounds) and work in confined spaces.

Pay: ﷼1,800.00 - ﷼2,000.00 per month
