**OVERALL JOB PURPOSE**:
A Performance & Planning Manager plays a key leadership role in an organization's strategic direction. They develop and implement processes for both creating effective plans and measuring performance against those plans. This ensures the organization achieves its goals, operates efficiently, and makes data-driven decisions for continuous improvement.

**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES**:
**Performance Management**:

- Lead the creation, implementation, and continuous monitoring of robust performance management systems encompassing production, safety, cost within Phosphate operations.
- Conduct thorough analyses of performance data to identify trends, root causes of deviations, and recommend impactful corrective actions.
- Facilitate performance reviews for direct reports, providing consistent coaching and fostering development opportunities.
- Advanced knowledge and understanding of practical impact of all relevant regulatory and statutory requirements.
- Develop, implement and maintain internal control systems and business practices (proper governance)

**Planning**:

- Oversee the formulation of short
- and long-term plans, ensuring meticulous alignment with strategic objectives and market dynamics.
- Foster collaboration amongst cross-functional teams (e.g., engineering, geology, production) to guarantee plan feasibility and effective resource allocation.
- Meticulously manage and monitor resource budgets, identifying and implementing cost optimization strategies.
- Proactively conduct risk assessments and formulate comprehensive mitigation strategies to address potential operational challenges.

**Leadership & Communication**:

- Provide exemplary leadership and guidance, empowering your team of performance specialists and planners to excel.
- Articulate performance expectations, plans, and overarching goals with clarity and precision to all relevant stakeholders.
- Cultivate a collaborative and results-oriented work environment, fostering open communication and team spirit. Proactively manage stakeholder relationships, addressing concerns efficiently and professionally.

**QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE**:

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, engineering or a demonstrably relevant field.
- At least ten years of relevant experience, with a minimum of three years managing teams in relevant industry.
- Proven track record of effectively developing and implementing performance management systems and robust plans.
- Adept analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to dissect complex data and distill actionable insights.
- Exceptional communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, fostering a culture of engagement and transparency.
- In-depth understanding of mining regulations, environmental standards, and best practices.
