OVERALL, JOB PURPOSE:
The Lead Specialist for Stakeholder Management will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to effectively engage and manage relationships with various stakeholders including local communities, government agencies, regulatory bodies, environmental organizations, and other relevant parties.

The primary objective of this role is to foster positive relationships, build trust, and ensure open lines of communication between the company and its stakeholders.

The Lead Specialist will play a critical role to support strategy, sales and finance teams on their defined strategic initiatives to achieve the strategic goals of the business.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Stakeholder Management
- Conduct thorough stakeholder mapping exercises to identify key stakeholders, their interests, and potential risks and opportunities.
- Analyse stakeholder perspectives and expectations to inform engagement strategies.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive stakeholder engagement strategy that aligns with the company's goals and values.
- Establish clear objectives and targets for stakeholder engagement activities.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the strategy and make adjustments as needed.
- Proactively build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders through regular communication, meetings, and consultations.
- Seek to understand stakeholders' concerns, address their issues, and incorporate their feedback into decision-making processes.
- Act as a point of contact for stakeholders, providing timely and accurate information about the company's activities and initiatives.
- Identify and anticipate potential conflicts or disputes between the company and its stakeholders.
- Implement effective conflict resolution and mediation strategies to mitigate tensions and find mutually beneficial solutions.
- Facilitate dialogue and negotiations between stakeholders when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to stakeholder engagement and community relations.
- Prepare regular reports on stakeholder engagement activities, progress, and outcomes for internal and external stakeholders.

Strategy and Implementation
- Development and implementation of work processes, best technical practices, governance, and controls across the Base Metal and New Minerals business.
- Provide support to the organization during the implementation of strategic initiatives and identify the need for process changes if required.
- Create/Maintain presentations, spreadsheets, reports, or other metric-driven tools.
- Support forecast/planning process, including communication and training materials
- Identify and analyse trading strategies to manage price risks and assess shipping schedule and to optimize the sale of volume under contract vs spot sale.
- Support in developing price forecast strategy for budget and business plan.
- Collaborate with various departments of BMNM business for budget, business plan and strategy exercise.
- Recommend and present ideas for improvement in the process and procedures conducted within the department.

COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
Maintain consistent communication and engagement with external and internal stakeholders including government agencies, regulatory bodies, business operations, departments and affiliates among others.

Job relevant information (BOUNDARIES & DECISION-MAKING AUTHORITY):

- Definition of strategic and tactical plans for the Department.
- Approvals as per Ma’aden Gold and Base Metals SBU approved authority matrix.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as stakeholder management, community relations, public relations, or a related discipline. A master's degree is preferred.
- Proven experience in stakeholder engagement, community relations, or a related field, preferably within the mining or extractive industry
- In-depth knowledge of stakeholder engagement principles, practices, and tools.
- Strong understanding of environmental and social issues related to mining operations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to manage conflicts and resolve disputes in a constructive manner.
- Familiarity with relevant legislation, regulations, and best practices in stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- High level of accuracy, consistency and timely responses are essential.
