Key Responsibilities:
- **Food Preparation**:
- Prepares food items following safety and sanitation guidelines, such as washing, chopping, or mixing ingredients.
- Assembles food items in accordance with restaurant standards (e.g., making sandwiches, salads, or platters).
- Assists chefs and cooks by preparing ingredients, handling basic cooking tasks, and ensuring the kitchen is well-stocked.
- **Food Service**:
- Serves food to customers, ensuring that orders are correct and presented well.
- Operates point-of-sale (POS) systems for order processing and payment.
- Packs and prepares food items for take-out or delivery.
- **Sanitation and Cleaning**:
- Ensures all food preparation areas, kitchen equipment, and utensils are kept clean and sanitized according to health and safety regulations.
- Follows strict food safety protocols to prevent contamination and foodborne illnesses.
- Disposes of trash and food waste properly, ensuring kitchen and dining areas are clean.
- **Customer Service**:
- Interacts with customers, taking orders, answering menu questions, and providing excellent service.
- Resolves any customer complaints or issues in a polite and efficient manner.
- **Inventory and Stocking**:
- Monitors food supplies and ingredients, ensuring that they are stored appropriately.
- Assists in inventory management by keeping track of food and equipment stocks and reporting shortages.

Qualifications:
- **Experience**: Prior experience in food handling, preparation, or customer service is often preferred.
