- Functions as the Aviation Logistics Transportation Division (ALTD) Operations Manager to aid in overseeing, managing, and providing operational direction for supply chain management (SCM) and logistics activities. Supervises the daily logistics activities in support of all logistic maintenance activities. Works to ensure resource maintenance repair parts, components, spares, and supplies are coordinated and delivered on time. Oversee multimodal transportation/goods movement and packaging; ensure customs and regulatory compliance; direct the efforts of vendors; and oversees the supply purchase request functions in the provided/assigned Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.**Major Duties and Responsibilities**
- A. Duties/Responsibilities:
- 1. Responsible for all ALTD Performance Work Statement (PWS) submittal requirements.- 2. Define and implement ALTD organizational goals, objectives, and priorities to meet/exceed PWS requirements.- 3. Responsible for ALTD systems, processes, procedures, and reporting to achieve objectives.- 4. Direct ALTD training activities, to include training management, evaluation management, continuation training, OJT, and leader engagement to meet/exceed certification requirements.- 5. Responsible to resource and staff workforce of approximately 150 professionals; ensure currency, qualifications, and local indoctrination training.- 6. Responsible for ALTD operational coordination with OPM-SANG, MNG AVN, and DAP leadership.- 7. Serves as the Delegation of Authority for the Division Manager.- 8. Performs other duties and tasks as directed by the ALTD Division Manager within the Logistics Division.- 9. Travels between work locations as required.- B. Independence:
- 1. Performs within the broad guidelines of duties and responsibilities with significant choice of methods. Assists with selecting and implementing goals and objectives within the execution of duties and responsibilities.- C. Supervisory Responsibilities:
- 1. Manage and supervise all subordinate ALTD Managers (SPO, DSA, SSA, PBO, Admin, Transportation).**Minimum Qualifications**
- A. Education Level:
- Required: Bachelor’s Degree or 5-10 years functional experience- Preferred: Master’s Degree and Military training with Aviation background.- B. Certifications/Licenses:
- Preferred: PMI Certification.- C. Experience:
- Required: 5 years’ Management in a functionally similar organization- Preferred: 10 years’ management in the military or functionally similar organization- D. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Required: Ability to successfully manage, lead, coach and mentor subordinate managers and team members. Possess an understanding of the US Army Aviation Logistics systems specific to aircraft maintenance and repair. A working knowledge of property accountability and reporting, quality control, vendor/subcontractor management, and import/export administration. Superior ability to communicate ideas verbally and in writing. Strong organizational and work management skills. Experience in conflict resolution management. US Citizenship is required for access to export/import control information. Must be able to maintain airfield access to perform duties.
