Lifting & Rigging Superintendent

The facility is set to be one of the largest maritime facilities in the world, with the capacity to build various types of vessels, including very large crude carriers, offshore drilling rigs, and commercial ships. It will help shape the Saudi maritime industry as one of the largest, most advanced and sustainable maritime facilities in the MENA region, with global ambitions and reach.
**- Management of staff, including allocation of daily duties, competency training.
- Support the Production & Project Managers with planning maximizing utilization & performance of department resources.
- Support the Human Resources Department with effective recruitment, selection & training of personnel within the company
- Continuous review of operating procedures and processes within the department.
- Work closely with HSE to engineer out potential hazards, to provide a safe working environment, for all employees.
- Assist with R&D to ensure technological advancements are properly evaluated for improved ROI wherever practical.
- Ensure that Cranes, lifting equipment, Rigging Hardware & associated equipment are maintained, inspected and have valid certificates fit for purpose in accordance with Company Policy and Quality Safety Management System.
- Ensure that Lifting & Rigging Equipment registers are kept up to date in all departments.
- Review and confirm that all safety & operational requirements are completed & checked prior to conducting any lifting or transfer operation.
- Awareness/knowledge of applicable Regulations, National and International standards such as ISO, BS EN, ASME, LEEA, LOLER, and other recognizing bodies approved code of practice ACOP and ensure that lifting and rigging activities performed are compliant.

**Requirements**:

- Degree in Mechanical, Structural, Marine Engineering or equivalent
- 10+ years of working experience in Heavy lifting and Transportation
industries,
- Min 4 years + in lead / management role,
- Working experience with Shipyard, Jack-up Rigs, Offshore Platforms
construction is preferred Knowledge of Cranes, and Heavy equipment maintenance.
