Dgs Technician

The DGS Technician will be responsible for the refurbishment and testing processes of dry gas seals in the service center.

**Duties & Responsibilities**

**Responsibilities**:

- Strip, inspect and assemble dry gas seals.
- Complete the grooving activities for repair
- Dismantling and cleaning of seals and parts under repair.
- Assemble and repair mechanical seals and seal cartridges in accordance with John Crane drawings and specifications.
- Define and write strip and inspection reports
- Complete the set up and test of different types/sizes of dry gas seals
- Manual machining of components where required.
- Lapping, polishing and cleaning when necessary, following the set standard processes.
- Ensures quality & safety within functions/ tasks performed by himself/herself and staff reporting to him/her.
- Responsible for exercising due diligence towards health & safety of self and others within the organization.
- Ensures compliance with the applicable HSE instructions, requirements, laws and regulations received from customers, regulatory and statutory bodies.
- DGS assembly, testing, lapping and polishing processes.
- Coordinate with various department to ensure the execution of repair process
- Quality control of DGS process
- Execution of DGS refurbishment, repair and new supply processes

**The Individual**

Skills & Experience:

- Diploma or University degree in Engineering or relevant vocational technical qualification.
- 3+ years of professional experience.
- ERP knowledge in SAP
- lapping and polishing knowledge.
- A good technical knowledge of John Crane product portfolio
- Proven experience in the field
- Proactive
- Problem solver
- Dynamic self starter
- Independently reliable & self sufficient whilst being part of wider team
- Work discipline
