Engineer, Inspection QA/qc Iii

**Position Summary**: The position Engineer, Inspection QA/QC III assists in the planning, developing, implementing and the day-to-day management of the Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), Risk Based Inspection (RBI), Reliability Instrumented Systems (RIS) and Root Cause Analysis (RCA). Works closely with counterparts (other Reliability Engineers) in the development of strategies for problem solving throughout all MWSPC as part of the Reliability Performance Department activity with the objective of achieving safe and reliable plants that leads to cost control, customer satisfaction, and superior quality. Promotes knowledge sharing between all MWSPC plants to enhance employees’ knowledge and skills about RCM. RBI, RIS & RCA methodology and problem-solving culture change that will positively impact safety & reliability performance. **Key Responsibilities**: - Handles the day-to-day implementation of the Reliability tools and techniques (RCM, RCA, RIS, RBI, FMEA, LTA etc.) as per Reliability Procedures and applicable Sub Procedures. - Applies RCA techniques, Barrier analysis, Bayesian inference, Causal factor tree analysis, Change analysis, Current Reality Tree, Failure mode and effects analysis, Fault tree analysis, 5 Whys, Ishikawa diagram, Pareto analysis, RPR Problem Diagnosis - Prepare annual statistics reports based on actual investigations findings, analyze the common causes between them and develop short - and long-term plans for elimination. Prepare a proactive plan to identify and prevent potential system and human problems. - Freely shares problem solving expertise with all investigation teams in Plants. - Assist in developing root cause analysis training and awareness program and suggest potential improvement to RCA. - For assigned operations area, monitor RCM, RBI, RIS & RCA key performance indicators & suggest potential improvements to the RCA, RIS and RBI. - Monitor RCM strategies for reporting, classifying, investigating, analyzing and developing corrective actions for all safety, environmental, reliability, quality and other problems to prevent them from reoccurrence. - Periodical monitoring, review, corrective actions and improvement of all the Maintenance Strategy activities using the feedback from users. - Assist in the preparation of annual statistics reports based on actual investigations findings, analyze the common causes between them and develop short - and long-term plans for elimination. Prepare a proactive plan to identify and prevent potential system and human problems. - Formulate Root Cause Analysis strategy for reporting, classifying, investigating, analyzing and developing corrective actions for all safety, environmental, reliability, quality and other problems to prevent them from reoccurrence. - Conduct periodic audit as per asset management procedures of all components of a world class Reliability program. This can be done every 6 months internally, and every 2 years by an external agency. The result should be announced and circulated as Reliability scorecard which can be graded as world class if the score is > 80%. - Benchmarking Reliability and Asset Performance with other peers in Saudi and outside. - Assist in providing required information and monthly status reports to Asset Reliability Steering Committee as detailed in Procedures. - Consult with counterpart in identifying and selecting applicable KPIs for reliability measurement. If required, request Planning department for making additional KPIs giving details and justification. - Take actions to indoctrinate the culture of Reliability among all levels of staff in all concerned departments. Suitable methods and training to be devised and used for this purpose. - Properly document and retain inspection records for findings, recommendations, inspection worksheets and actions taken for future reference and analysis. Monitor contractor’s performance from quality point of view. **Qualification & Experience**: - Bachelor's degree Mechanical Engineering or equivalent preferred. - Min. 2 years of direct experience as an inspector or mechanical integrity work in Asset Management/ Reliability or Plant Maintenance role within a Fortune 200 company, such as: Petroleum, Chemical, Fertilizer/Mining or other Industrial Manufacturing organizations. - Hands on experience in implementing RCM, RBI, RIS and RCA strategies for Process plant equipment and recording. **Skills**: - Leadership skills, budgeting, planning, forecasting and staff development. - Strong working knowledge of relevant engineering principles and practices in chemical, mining or relevant in engineering and maintenance fields. - Have the in-depth knowledge and competency of RCM, RBI, RIS & RCA concepts. - Analytical, methodical, chronological and open minded. - High credibility - honest, open, keeps promises, thinks things through, trusted. - Flexible thinking - thinks at various levels - conceptual, empirical, analytical. - Have the ability to effective
