- Performs aircraft maintenance tasks on the MD530 as required using the specific OEM Operators Manual, Maintenance Test Flight Manual, Check List Manual, and any other directives pertinent to the environment. Removes and installs aircraft systems and subsystem assemblies and components including engines, rotors, gearboxes, transmissions, mechanical flight controls and their components. Services and lubricates aircraft systems, subsystems, and components. Prepares aircraft for inspections and maintenance checks. Performs scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance actions. Uses common measuring tools, precision measuring gages and alignment fixtures. Performs aircraft and related components routine and special inspections. Performs maintenance operational checks. Diagnoses and troubleshoots aircraft subsystems using special tools and equipment as required. Uses and performs operator maintenance on tools, special tools and Aircraft Ground Support Equipment (AGSE) Prepares aircraft maintenance forms and records. Responsible to develop and execute phase plans from Pre-Dock to Post Test flight. Ensures that all related operations are conducted in a safe manner.**Major Duties and Responsibilities**
- A. Duties/Responsibilities:
- 1. Ensures that MD530 Aircraft maintenance functional activities and procedures among designated organizations are planned, coordinated, integrated, and synchronized to achieve established platform operational readiness objectives.- 2. Responsible for the compliance with established maintenance systems, processes, procedures and reports that provide immediate situational awareness of platform readiness rates.- 3. Establishes daily maintenance operational goals, objectives and priorities for implementation in-order to achieve stated readiness rates and MNG training objectives as required.- 4. Oversees the daily maintenance management of assigned aircraft in support of the Production Control (PC) Manager.- 5. Works within the maintenance quality control processes, procedures, and standards.- 6. Directs inquires, investigations, and research analysis related to aviation maintenance of MD530 Aircraft and supporting maintenance activities to the PC Manager.- 7. Supervises individuals as assigned.- 8. Ensures all maintenance operations and related maintenance support activities are conducted in a safe manner.- 9. In coordination with the Aviation Manager, supports the Downed Aircraft Recovery Team (DART) processes and procedures.- 10. Performs daily maintenance operational goals, objectives and priorities for implementation in order to achieve stated OR rates.- 11. Works within the maintenance quality control processes, procedures, standards.- 12. Reports direct inquires, investigations, and research analysis related questions to aviation maintenance of MD500 series aircraft and supporting maintenance activities to the Aviation Maintenance Manager.- 13. Responsible for the individual general maintenance training, job book currency and qualifications of assigned Customer maintenance personnel as required.- 14. Supervises the following individuals as required:
**a.** Junior technicians (assigned)**b.** MNG Crew Chiefs and mechanics assigned to the aircraft.- 15. Performs activities and requirements for maintenance operations support through the Maintenance Manager as required.- 16. Coordinates for daily and weekly maintenance training activities.- 17. Supports a professional development program in support of Saudization.- 18. Ensures all maintenance operations and related maintenance support activities are conducted in a safe manner.- 19. In coordination with the Maintenance Manager and Flight Operations Manager, supports the Downed Aircraft Recovery Team (DART) process and procedures.- 20. Other duties as assigned and or directed by management.- B. Independence: Performs within the broad guidelines of duties and responsibilities with significant choice of methods. Retains the authority to select and implement goals and objectives within the execution of duties and responsibilities.- C. Supervisory Responsibilities: Direct interface with PC maintenance office, responsible for dissemination of maintenance activities within designated maintenance areas.**Minimum Qualifications**
- A. Education: High school diploma required; Associates degree preferred. Airframe and Power Plant (A&P) Certification required. Graduate of US government aircraft general mechanic maintenance course or civilian equivalent or Factory training preferred.- B. Experience: Five (5) years’ experience as an aircraft mechanic on MDS aircraft. Ten (10) years’ experience as an aircraft mechanic preferred.- C.
