Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented **HSE Lead (H&S Compliance Engineer)**to join our team
**What You'll Be Doing**:
- Prepare detailed plans and lead internal and external audits on behalf of the Client.
- Manage the execution of internal audits, including scheduling, coordination, and follow-up actions.
- Coordinate and oversee external audits, ensuring all necessary documentation and site preparations are completed.
- Create and submit written audit and inspection reports, including action plans to resolve any non-compliance.
- Create and submit comprehensive investigation reports and lessons learned.
- Ensure compliance with corporate standards and regulatory requirements.
- Advise and assist project managers and other personnel in conforming to the Client’s and Parsons’ Environmental, Safety, Health, and Risk Program (ESHARP) management system and Parsons’ policies and procedures.
- Audit the project or program and its worksites against corporate standards.
- Implement Client’s and/or Parsons’ occupational injury and incident reporting and management processes.
- Initiate and conduct thorough incident investigations and root cause analyses using defensible protocols.
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders to identify effective corrective actions.
- Perform trends analyses on audit findings, inspection findings, and incident reports; create and submit regular analysis reports.
- Represent Parsons during external regulatory or loss control inspections of project worksites.
- Assist the Client’s SH&E manager or director on project or program audits.
- Seek active participation from stakeholders to identify and implement SH&E improvements.
- Assist the Client and project or program manager with new hire orientation.
- Perform non-process related, regulatory, and best practice SH&E training.
- Create and maintain SH&E training records.
- Participate in routine safe work briefings.
- Develop and implement site safety plans, including emergency response procedures and hazardous material handling protocols.
- Assist with regular safety meetings and drills to ensure preparedness and compliance.
- Monitor and evaluate site safety performance, suggesting recommendations for improvement.
- Assist the Client’s representative to ensure all safety equipment and systems are maintained and operational.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to integrate safety considerations into project planning and execution.
- Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
**What Desired Skills You'll Bring**:
- Advanced knowledge of Country (&/or Federal and State health and safety regulations and reporting procedures.
- Advanced knowledge of safety-related national consensus standards (e.g., ANSI, NFPA).
- Exceptional interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in report writing and documentation.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple audits and safety initiatives simultaneously.
- Understanding of hazardous material handling and emergency response planning.
- Analytical skills for trend analysis and risk assessment.
- Capability to develop and deliver non-process related safety training programs.
- Strong skills in writing detailed reports, safety documentation, and audit findings.
