**Job Description Summary**:

- The Audiology Specialist is responsible for providing highly complex diagnostic and therapeutic services to patients with hearing, balance, and communication disorder; providing best management tools for hearing and balance.impaired patients in order to enhance communication and improve patient’s life quality; conducting clinical and laboratory research, publishing findings and participating in other scholarly activities in order to contribute to industry.wide treatment related improvements and enhance the patient's audiological well.being.

- Implement the vision of the organization which includes but not limited to improving unit performance efficiencies maintaining unit KPIs and patient satisfaction goals expanding to new services working on special projects budgeting for manpower and expenses and reducing costs

- Provide standard to complex pre and postsurgical assessments counseling and all aspects of audiologic treatment including Auditory training rehabilitation implant programming and the maintenance of implant hardware and software ranging from routine to unprecedented or complicated cases
- Supervise neonatal hearing screening program Conduct behavioral hearing assessment for pediatrics andor Auditory Brainstem Response testing
- Finalize the acquisition and adoption of implantable hearing devices
- which includes but is not limited to taking impressions of ears for suitable ear moldsintheear hearing instruments or customized earplugs selecting fitting and dispensing hearing aids and other listening devices andor coordinating with the providers to deliver the implantable devices to the Operating Room on time
- Responsible for forecasting and recommending improvements to the care calibration check and maintenance of the lab work areas andor clinic equipment as well as ensure sufficient levels of supply inventory
- Participate on multidisciplinary teams which includes but not limited to ENT cochlear implant team early childhood development clinic and educational planning teams and educational initiatives as well as coordinate educational sessions which could include lesson planning and teaching sessions for audiology interns as appropriate
- in order to identify the medical psychosocial vocational and rehabilitative needs of patients andor raise awareness
- Conduct research studies related to audiology performed in the hospital as required
- Conduct ongoing competency evaluations and provide ongoing education andor training opportunities for audiologists in order to ensure uptodate skill sets that will best serve patients

**Minimum Education Required**:

- Bachelors Degree in Audiology Masters in a related field preferred

**Professional Certifications Required**:

- Certification in Audiology (American Speech.Language Hearing Association CCC.A or equivalent) and advanced certification in the field

**Years of Experience**:

- Minimum 10 years' experience in Audiology

**Languages**:

- English:Advanced ; Arabic:Basic
