**Responsibilities**

The Head of Payments is responsible for developing the company's Payments strategy and driving its implementation in collaboration with all its functions. The Head of Payments owns the success of the company's Payments business from end to end and reports directly to the CEO's office.

**Payments strategy development and implementation management**
- Define the long-term vision for the company's Payments business by its overarching vision
- Maximize the adoption of a payments wallet
- Define competitive advantage for the Payments based on the company's existing and new value proposition to consumers and businesses
- Research new products or services and introduce ideas to remain competitive
- Identify strategic initiatives to achieve the long-term Payments vision
- Define, own, and report on KPIs and KPTs for the company's Payments

**Payments P&L ownership**
- Develop a Payments go-to-market strategy in each of the company's current and future countries in collaboration with the commercial team
- Prospect top-tier merchants and convert them to work with the company's Payments merchants
- Work closely with the Commercial team on prospecting and converting merchants of all tiers
- Analyze and update the pricing of Payments products in collaboration with the Finance function
- Work closely with the Growth team on devising and implementing an operational plan to increase the adoption and usage of the Payments products
- Actively optimize Payments products costs in collaboration with Finance and Product teams, leading negotiations with suppliers and partners
- Review financial and non-financial reports to determine how Payments is performing and devise corrective actions

**Stakeholder management**
- Champion change. Ensure initiatives are implemented and communicate follow-up actions to different departments as necessary
- Work closely with the Product Manager Lead for Payments to define and implement the Payments roadmap
- Collaborate with all related departments for Payments vertical success (Commercial, Product, CX, Growth, Finance, Risk, Legal, People, etc.)
- Hire and support hiring key personnel across functions which demonstrate strong functional expertise, creativity, and entrepreneurial leadership to meet the business needs of the operation

**Skills and qualifications**
- Proven success in a managerial role
- 7+ years of experience in the Payments industry
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and delegation skills
- Proven ability to develop and achieve financial and non-financial plans
- Ability to motivate and lead employees with and without authority
- Experience in working with engineers and product managers with a proven record of launching successful products
- Strong analytical ability, problem-solving aptitude, and decision-making ability
- Relevant educational background, MBA is a plus
