Assists and supports the genetic counsellor in collecting relevant information, and in communicating with patients and their families directly. Organizes the clinic flow along with the genetic counsellor and helps with the appointment arrangement and other clinic-related duties.

**Essential Responsibilities and Duties**:
1. Assists in collecting samples for genetic testing and preparation for initial clinical visits, including family history and family pedigree, collecting of relevant medical records, and lab reports.

2. Supports in facilitating genetic testing process, including identification of laboratories appropriate testing andsample submission requirements.

3. Facilities patient access to leaflets, signposting to existing resources.

4. Assists to triage referrals of patients to the required service of expertise, as assigned.

5. Responsible for responding to referrals that do not require clinical contact (e.g. those that do not meet referral criteria).

6. Coordinates genetic counselling clinics of the department of medical genomics.

7. Coordinates patient scheduling in genetic counselling virtual and physical clinics.

8. Maintains records and data collection in area of responsibility. Develops written statistical and graphical reports indicating development and advancement towards department goals and objectives.

9. Coordinates and communicates with extended family members for laboratory genetic testing, tracing samples, results and troubleshooting with loss of specimens and need for re-sampling.

10. Assists and coordinates genetic counselling educational programs of the department of medical genomics.

11. Follows all Hospital’s related Policies and Procedures.

**Education**:
Grade 07:Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Science, Biological Sciences, Nursing, or other related discipline is required.

Grade 08:Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Science, Biological Sciences, Nursing, or Bachelor’sDegree of similar disciplines Pulse Diploma in Genetic Counselling (post-Bachelor Degree), is required.

**Experience Required**:
Grade 07:No related experience with Bachelor’s Degree is required.

Grade 08:No related experience with Bachelor pulse Diploma Degree is required, or two (2) years of related experience with Bachelor Degree is required.

**Other Requirements(Certificates)**:
Current Registration from country of origin and Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCHS) is required.
