We are seeking a** Category Management and Demand Planning Division Head** with experience in Offshore Rig Building, Shipbuilding or Oil and Gas, specifically in the supply chain, Business, Operations Management, Engineering, Computer Science, MIS or equivalent.

**The Category Management and Demand Planning Division Head**: will be responsible for manage the Supply Chain serves as a crucial strategic role, primarily focused on optimizing the procurement and management of goods and services in specified categories or segments for company functions. The main objective of this role is to enhance efficiency, minimize overall expenditures, and ensure quality and reliability throughout the supply chain. Additionally, this role leads and supports the formulation of comprehensive category management strategies.
- Analyse and interpret market conditions, trends, and data to identify market opportunities.
- Identify opportunities to enhance business performance through improved analytics and reporting.
- Provide leadership, coordination and coaching to the team, ensuring they are trained enabling them to achieve the operational and financial metrics within their areas of responsibility and succeed in their roles.
- People management responsibility.
- Lead the right amount of inventory by managing the customer demand and the company inventory stock on hand.
- Mentor and improve team performance.
- Set and implement plans for Category Management & Demand Planning team for better business participation and involvement, more commitment, more innovation, creativity, and higher satisfaction at work.
- Prepare working reports and status updates of the division activities for the sourcing manager.
- Plan and implement long-term development strategies for product categories.
- Plan and calculate forecasts for products/ services demands.
- Lead the development, implementation, and update of all polices strategies, procedures and process related to category management.
- Lead the team to work with the ERP team to ensure that PSCM requirements related to category management is implemented.
- Categorize Goods and services to ensure the optimum segmentation of the supply chain and the classification of suppliers according to the importance of their portfolio of goods and services.
- Develop baseline/ current spend & category analysis to determine the appropriate category strategy.
- Conduct market assessment of suppliers and their supply chain.

**Job Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business, Operations Management, Engineering, Computer Science, MIS or equivalent.
- MCIPS is a plus.
- 9 to 15 years of relevant experience.
- Fluent in English.
- Procurement experience in working with different commodities with large volume purchases.
- Good understanding of accounting and business finance principles.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills.
- Basic accounting and business finance principles.
- Negotiation, Forecasting and Presentation Skills.
- Analytical, quantitative and Problem-Solving Skills.
- Expert in Microsoft Excel and other MS office tools.
- Previous experience working with ERP systems.
