We are looking for a Principal Environmental Waste Consultant with a track record in project management and delivery of environmental waste management services to major construction projects, to join our thriving business in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
This role will lead the delivery of waste management projects throughout the Middle East, including delivery of waste management strategies.
**Key Accountabilities and Activities**:
- Project management of a variety of projects of varying complexity and scale, acting as the project director for waste projects being undertaken
- Act as the primary contact for the waste management business unit and drive forward business development in the sector through existing networks and new relationships, including with regards to writing proposals and participating in conferences and events.
- Quality assurance of project work undertaken by others
- Manage both the technical and commercial aspects of projects
- Assist with the day-to-day management of AESGs environment division, including overseeing project delivery, resource management and proposals
- Contribution to the continued growth of the environmental division
- Management of multiple client relationships
- Provide guidance and leadership to more junior team members and provide formal mentorship
- Strong communication skills
- Motivated and self-driven (entrepreneurial outlook)

**Essential Skills**:
- MSc in Environmental Science or Environmental Management or equivalent
- CEnv is desirable or equivalent
- Minimum of 10 (ten) year-experience in environmental waste management
- Technical expertise and leadership, particularly in solid waste management and waste management strategies, at the local, national, and regional level
- Project management of complex multidisciplinary environmental waste studies
- An understanding of various waste technologies and infrastructure development processes
- Technical direction on key environmental projects
- Independently manage complex projects with multifaceted technical scope and stakeholder management both internally and externally (internal technical team, relevant authorities, clients, subconsultants etc)
- A knowledge of such areas as international resource and waste management policy and strategy, life-cycle analysis, circular economy, net zero, zero waste to landfill, waste projections and carbon modelling, waste operations and collections, waste infrastructure, sustainable procurement and, economic and financial analysis
- Experience in managing PMC activities at a client / consultant level is desirable
