Principal Engineer Architect

We are currently recruiting for a **Principal Engineer Architect - TSS ( Saudi National) **for our project in Jazan.

You will become a Member of the Technical Support Section of the Engineering Department providing support to all JCPDI projects. Reports professionally to the TSS Supervisor and RC Section Manager. Provides technical assistance in a specialized area to subordinates or peers. Interfaces with other engineering disciplines, project staff, other RC/MSC departments, A/E representatives, and construction contractor representatives.
- Perform Architectural and landscape work to meet the overall city development program requirements and standards.
- Review A/E contractor design drawings, specifications, and calculation submittals; and, coordinate the same with the work of other disciplines.
- Coordinate Architectural/Engineering activities with those of other disciplines and project management team within the Engineering Department; and, also Royal Commission Departments as and where necessary.
- Provide technical advice to other sections within the MSC and the Royal Commission as a whole.
- Prepare proposals for design wor k including sketches and costs estimates for labor, equipment, and materials.
- Process submittals/substitution requests during construction and address RFl's.
- Prepare technical specifications, conceptual schemas and scope of work descriptions.
- Prepare Request for Proposal (RFP) documents with design concepts.
- Provide technical assistance during pre-bid conferences, proposal evaluations, and post-award or other contract conferences and value engineering.
- Review vendor and shop drawings, and construction materials.
- Perform field inspections and provide professional field support and construction troubleshooting as necess a ry during construction phases.
- Perform forensic support work and offer cost effective optimal remedial solutions.
- Assist in setting out Quality Control (QC) terms related to Architectural construction materials and their correct usage.
- Prepare interface layouts and provide solutions for conflicts.
- Prepare quality and presentation conscious technical correspondence, reports, and studies.
- **A Degree in Architecture (B. Arch) or related field from a recognized University with a minimum of 4 years of professional experience in the architect and landscape field.**
- LEED certification will be considered an advantage.
- The ability to communicate effectively in spoken and written English is essential.
- Must have sound overall experience in problem solving based on field engineering and construction troubleshooting.
- Strong/working experience of AutoCAD. Working knowledge of 3D modeling software is a plus
- Extensive experience with bu i lding technology and materials with painting systems and other coating systems for Outdoor structures of wood, metal and concrete.
- Extensive e x perience with indoor finishes and materials for commercial and public buildings.
- Underground and exposed conduit and cable tray run.
- Fire protection and communication systems single line diagrams and phys i ca l layout of equipment and devices.
- Medium voltage (13.8kV) power distribution single line diagram and equipment layout of major equipment.
- Medium voltage powe r distribution layout with cables in duct banks and direct buried and corresponding ampacity calculations.
- Capable of Inter-Organizational Coordination group develop Master plans for MV distribution networks, as input to New Urbanization development projects undertaken by Municipal and City development.
- Must be knowledgeable with the NFPA, National Electrical Code, IEEE, ANSI and IEC Standards.
- Through working knowledge of Building Service Systems such as LV Distribution, Lighting, Power, FPA Alarms, Communication, Building Management systems etc.
- Experience of working with AutoCAD Revit. At a minimum, good working knowledge of working in a BIM Environment (strong SIM Experience would be an advantage ).
