JOB TITLE: Consultant Emergency Room_

**Education and Licensure**:
**Mandatory**
- MBBS degree from a recognized medical school.
- Saudi Board, Arab Board, American Board or Canadian in Emergency Medicine or its equivalent internationally recognized high medical qualifications are an essential requirement that is accredited by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.
- A valid license as Consultant Emergency room to practice his specialty in the country of origin and from the Saudi Commission for Healthcare Specialties.
- Current valid certification of Advanced trauma life support (ATLS), Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS) or obtaining these within 6 months of commencement of employment.

**Preferred**:

- A subspecialty degree/Fellowship Certification at least 2-years program in related specialty or its equivalent internationally recognized high medical qualifications are an essential requirement that is accredited by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.
- Membership in the Emergency Department Board and participate in any other hospital committee.

**Professional Experience**:
**Mandatory**
- Minimum of (3) three years of professional experience in the practice of the specialty after obtaining the high medical degree.

**Preferred**:

- Preferably with in a managerial level and with teaching experience in the medical field.

**Specialized Knowledge & Skills**:

- Fluent in written and spoken English, fluency in Arabic would be of advantage.
- Good general health, able to work extended hours under stress, isolation and at high altitudes, mobility, near visual acuity and no uncorrected audiological problems.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Teaching: To demonstrate skills required for educational training to medical students, professions.
- Research: To demonstrate a proven ability and track record of engagement in research relating to the specialty.
