In this role, you will assist in implementing cost control measures to ensure project expenditures remain within budgetary limits.

The Assistant Manager - Cost Control will work closely with project managers and financial teams to monitor costs, analyze variances, and support effective decision-making processes. Your contributions will be essential in promoting financial responsibility and optimizing resource allocation across various projects.

**Responsibilities**:

- Support the development and implementation of cost control processes and procedures for ongoing projects.
- Assist in monitoring project costs against established budgets and identifying variances.
- Collaborate with project teams to prepare accurate cost estimates and forecasts.
- Prepare regular cost reports for management review, highlighting key metrics and trends.
- Work with project managers to identify cost-saving opportunities and implement recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls related to cost management practices.
- Participate in audits and assist with financial reporting for cost control activities.
- Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate effective communication.
- Stay updated on industry standards and best practices regarding cost management and control.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in IT or MIS, or a related field.
- A minimum of 4-6 years of experience in cost control or financial management, preferably in a project-based environment.
- Strong understanding of cost control principles and methodologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficient in cost management software and advanced Excel capabilities.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems is a plus.
