**JOB PURPOSE**

BAE Systems is the UK Government’s nominated Prime Contractor (PC) under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) aircraft and train RSAF personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons. The HQ RSAF Directorate of Air Force Training (DAT) Typhoon Training Advisor is responsible for providing professional advice and assistance to the Directorate of Air Force Training across a wide range of training and manning related matters faced by the RSAF. This role will be the focal point for Typhoon training activity and manages training programmes under the direction of the RSAF Technician Training Manager. The jobholder has line management responsibility for the Typhoon training team and provides mentoring and coaching to RSAF personnel.

**JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES**
- Reviews and develops RSAF and Typhoon training policy.
- Develops and Manages Training Programmes
- Develops, maintains and manages training project plans
- Provides status updates and recommendations for improving Typhoon training
- Recommends training solutions to meet RSAF manning requirements.
- Coordinates Training Activities
- Provides support and direction to the Typhoon training team in order to meet the Technician Training Manager’s tasks and objectives.
- Maintains liaison with stakeholders responsible for conducting, scheduling or supporting training requirements
- Coordinates in-Kingdom and overseas scheduling of training according to training programmes
- Advises and mentors individuals on training programmes
- Briefs and ensures RSAF management is up-to-date with training activity.
- Performs Training Functions
- Reviews training requirements and training solutions
- Provides reports and presentations on Typhoon and other RSAF platforms as directed
- Additional tasks as directed by the RSAF Training Manager or delegated RSAF officers
- Represents DAT at meetings, prepares and delivers presentations.

**RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION**

The jobholder must be diplomatic, confident when working under pressure, possess excellent analytical and presentational skills, both written and oral, with a proven ability to brief senior management and officers.

**RECRUITMENT**

The jobholder reviews training proposals and documentation and provides clear feedback, summaries and recommendations to the RSAF. Knowledge and personal experience of reviewing contractor documentation such as Statements of Work and Training Plans will be highly beneficial.
