**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
- 3 years of experience in the same Field and same position as charge nurse**.**:

- Diploma in Management is preferable.
- Managerial skills are must.
- Dataflow is a must.
- Saudi license holder is a plus.
- Fluent in English.

***Job description and responsibilities**
- Carry out all physiological observations e.g., temperature, pulse, blood pressure, respirations, SPO2 document and escalate to midwife if required.
- Assist Midwife with admission of mother and baby to the ward. The Midwife must accept handover of patient.
- Assist with patient hygiene.
- Carry out urinary catheter care and urinalysis where necessary.
- IV bundle care to include VIP inspection of dressing and removal of cannula.
- Assist with mobilisation of mother.
- Assist with intra-transfer of patients between departments excluding Theatre & Delivery Suite.
- Assist with the preparation of mother for Theatre as per the pre-operative check list.
- Administration of medications including intravenous
- Carry out phlebotomy duties.
- Provide patient education and health promotion advice.
- Communicate with the multidisciplinary team using the ISBAR system as appropriate and directed by the Midwife.
- Record patient documentation in the electronic chart using the MN-CMS system.
- Report accidents/incidents in accordance with guidelines.
- Report complaints to the Ward Manager/Midwife-in-Charge
- Undertake administrative duties in the absence of the Midwife Manager or as outlined by the Midwife Manager.
- Take an active part in the evaluation of care and assist in the development of research-based nursing guidelines.
- Participate in hospital audit/research activities.
- Identify audit topics to the departmental manager and participate in their assessment, evaluation, and presentation where appropriate.
- Maintain high standards in clinical skills, and continuously update both practice and education (e.g., adult and infant resuscitation, breast feeding, manual handling, fire safety and other relevant areas).
- Identify learning needs of patients and implement a plan to meet these needs.
- Ensure that the appropriate up-to-date information is readily available for families and staff.
- Assess Staff personal training and educational needs and ensure that they are met.
- Identify opportunities for health promotion and provide clear and accurate health information according to hospital guidelines.
- Be aware of and comply with the policy on staff responsibility for the Protection and Welfare of Children.
- Be aware of and implement all policies and guidelines in relation to Infection Prevention and Control /Decontamination.
