KEY Accountabilities**Strategic Planning**
- Develop and execute long-term strategic plans for the container terminal, considering factors such as capacity requirements, operational efficiency, infrastructure development, and technological advancements.

**Terminal Layout Optimization**
- Analyze and optimize the terminal layout to enhance container flow, maximize utilization of resources, and minimize congestion.

**Process Improvement**
- Continuously review and improve container handling processes to enhance efficiency, reduce turnaround times, and increase productivity.

**Performance Monitoring and Reporting**
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure terminal performance and monitor progress against operational targets. Generate regular reports and dashboards to communicate performance metrics, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to management and stakeholders.

**Risk assessment and Mitigation**
- Identify potential risk and challenges that may impact terminal performance and develop contingency plans and mitigation strategies to minimize disruption and ensure business continuity.

**Operations Planning**
- Design and implement overall Planning strategy and ensure effective cascading to department members and communications with Senior Management covering the Advanced planning setup and strategy and the daily dynamic planning.
- Build the right capabilities in the planning department and keep pipelines to self-sustain and excel with the right resources and provide guidance to achieve set production targets.
- Plans the activity of Operations Department according to the needs and demand of operational activities to ensure that the full set of quantitative and qualitative indicators are meeting customers’ needs in the shortest time, and in the longer-term enhancing company commercial positions within the country.
- Oversee the planning and optimization of automation, including the layout design, process flow, and resource allocation to ensure efficient utilization of automated systems,
- Coordinate with technology Department and internal teams to integrate various automated systems and ensure continuous communication and coordination between them.
- Continuously optimize the performance and efficiency of the automated systems through data analysis, process improvement, and implementation of advanced algorithms.
- Collaborate with Engineering team to ensure the smooth functioning and availability of equipment’s, monitor equipment performance, and support preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and optimize equipment reliability.
- Develop and keep the planning standards, process documentation and training materials, and sustain those standards in all planning disciplines.
- Building and keeping control rooms set up to DP World world-class standards including remote control operations, automation setup, and exceptions handlers including layouts, process, and communications protocols.
- Daily Dynamic game planning to match end-to-end operational requirements with the available workforce and equipment to achieve best daily operations.
- Liaise with Human resources to maintain pipeline of potential trainees to grow in future planning roles.
- Build effective communication protocols with internal and external stakeholders including (execution team, Training centre, Resource and equipment planning, technical dept. and agents of shipping lines for receipt of vessel planning data (EDI / Baplie / hard copy) as per the port procedures.
- Comply with the Port Regulations, as well as procedures and guidelines set by the port authorities and other authorities with responsibilities in the area.
- Collaborate with shipping lines and agents of the maritime shipping agencies in all aspects of their equipment from the storage containers.
- Collaborate with other departments and ensure financial and commercial support to resolve disputes between the terminal and clients.
- Interact with Customs and other local authorities to improve process efficiency, effectiveness, and overall lead time.
- Maintain, report, and the Improve Mawani’s agreed KPI’s, to ensure proper delivery to our concession commitment.
- Improve information accuracy and reports that is being captured in services reporting including vessel closure, containers info, Port authority reports, Regional And headquarters of DP World

**Operational Transformation, Optimization and Lean roll out**
- Manage and supervise the automated operational activities (in both Quay, yard, and gate) by ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
- Lead the operational optimization by overseeing and managing related systems and processes improvement initiatives.
- Lead the LEAN implementation across the company, including building the critical mass of the lean trainees and practitioners according to the business unit’s roadmap and execution plan.
