Clinical Psychiatrist

We are hiring senior registrar Clinical Psychiatrist to work in A Clinical Center

in Saudi Arabia (Riyadh & Dammam)

Job Summary

• As a psychiatrist, you will evaluate, monitor, and diagnose patients to

determine treatment and recovery plans.

• You will counsel patients, write prescriptions, and monitor patients’ progress,

while being compassionate and sensitive to their needs and concerns.

Duties & Responsibilities

1- Conduct standard & comprehensive psychiatric assessment either in

person or remotely to obtain proper medical history, assess risk, formulate

diagnosis, and appropriate treatment.

2- Establish therapeutic relationship with patient and family

3- Prescribe medications according to diagnosis. Follow up and monitor

response and side effects.

4- Educate patient and family about diagnosis and offered treatment options.

5- Complete initial assessment and progress notes in timely manner in

electronic records

6- Complete medical reports for concerned patients/clients

7- Conduct family meeting when required

8- Referral to colleagues within the center or outside as deemed necessary

9- Request appropriate investigations or testing when required to assist

diagnosis and treatment

10- Liaison with RRC treating team

11- Attend peer review rounds for continuity of care

12- Contribute to the development of RRC with research involvement and

community outreach

13- Follow code of ethics and professionalism

14- Abide by the RRC policies and procedures

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Adequate computer skills
• Familiar with electronic records
• Ability and flexibility to work within a team
• UpToDate knowledge with international treatment guidelines
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills both in Arabic and English

**Experience**

• At least 3 years of clinical experience post training in general Psychiatry

Education and certification

• Psychiatry Saudi Board or an equivalent degree and training recognized by the

SCFHS

• Licensed to work at country of origin
• Hold a valid license from the SCFHS or eligible to obtain one
• If not licensed at country where degree obtained has to provide a letter from

MOH authenticating degree and specialty

**Salary**: ﷼1.00 per month

• Clinical Psychiatrist: 3 years (preferred)

• English Fluently (preferred)
• Arabic (preferred)

License/Certification

• license from the SCFHS or eligible to obtain one (preferred)
