**Responsibilities**

Working in collaboration with the Mechanical team to prepare the following deliverables / provide the following engineering services (non-exhaustive list):

- Development of technical specifications.
- Development of conceptual and detailed designs.
- Design of interfaces with protection and control systems, civil works, structures, etc.
- Preparation of bid documents and bid evaluations.
- Design review of detail design performed by O.E.M. and third-party detail design including but not limited to the HVAC system, Valve cooling system of converter stations, Fire protection system, etc.
- Ensure interdisciplinary coordination.
- Take part in audits and technical assessments.
- Construction supervision; development of installation procedures and method statements.
- Commissioning supervision.
- Witnessing factory testing.
- Feasibility and techno-economic studies.
- Design studies and calculations.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, from a recognized institution.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in Engineering, Design, and Construction of Extra High Voltage S/S, HVDC C/S, or related projects. Also, related to power systems, transmission & distribution lines, substations, and power station projects.
- Exceptional academic and professional record.
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical capabilities with a focus on achieving results.
- Team player with great interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Client-focused, highly autonomous, and ability to work under pressure.
- Eligibility for registration with a Professional Order of Engineers.
- Availability for short trips to construction sites, factories, and client’s offices, in Canada, internationally, and overseas.
- Fluency in English language, both spoken and written. Additional languages will be considered an asset.
