The **accountant** will play a critical role in the accounting & financial operations of the organization. This position is responsible for managing various accounting & financial tasks, ensuring accuracy, and compliance with accounting standards, and providing valuable insights to support decision-making. The accountant will work closely with the accounting manager to assist in financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Bookkeeping (recording all transactions on time keeping books up to date).
- Prepare and analyze financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement) in accordance with KSA GAAP.
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings.
- Generate ad-hoc financial reports as required by management.
- Collaborate in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
- Monitor actual performance against budgeted figures and provide variance analysis.
- Oversee the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and collections.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Perform month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant tax regulations in KSA.
- Prepare and file tax returns as necessary.
- Assist in the annual external audit process.
- Provide documentation and explanations as requested by auditors.
- Stay up to date with changes in financial regulations in KSA and ensure compliance.
- Prepare payments and maintain bank and books reconciled up to date. Collaborate with other departments to gather supporting documents to prepare payments accordingly.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) certification is preferred.
- 3+ years of relevant accounting experience, including experience in KSA.
- Proficiency in financial accounting software and Microsoft Excel. (Microsoft Business Central will be a plus point).
- Strong knowledge of KSA accounting standards and regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
