The Role
SAS Global are currently hiring for a Project Director with experience delivering in delivering large building programmes (VVIP residential, commercial, hospitality & sports) across the GCC for a leading international consultancy to be based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a unique project and program and requires a highly talented and skilled Project Director to work closely with the client and team to ensure successful delivery. This will involve pre & post contract delivery. - Plans and defines program goals and devises methods to accomplish them; develops in-depth knowledge of client objectives, contract terms, and corporate policies. - Plans, directs, supervises, and controls the execution of all business, technical, fiscal, and administrative functions of the assigned program, project, or subtask. - Acts as the Company representative with the client and selected suppliers during the program execution. Negotiates changes to the scope of work with the client. Assists business development in understanding client issues and business plans in order to market and secure new/additional work. - Promotes technical excellence on the project, including furtherance of the Quality Improvement Process. - Mobilises Company resources, through effective communication with support departments, other offices, or subsidiaries, to create project teams capable of completing effective, quality work. - Assigns responsibility for executing project plans to key subordinates after careful assessment of how to utilize their qualifications and strengths. Provides input to performance reviews and development plans for subordinates. - Monitors and reports to management on the progress of all project activity within the program, including significant milestones, and any conditions which would affect project cost or schedule. - May participate in negotiations with regulatory agencies and in public meetings in support of clients. - Oversees establishment of Work Plan, Health and Safety Plan, Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plan

**Requirements**:

- Must be Bachelors and/or Masters degree qualified in engineering or construction from an accredited western university. - Must have worked as a Project Director for a Project Management Consultancy. - At least 15+ years experience managing large scale building construction programmes. - Must be fluent in English both written and spoken. - Must have worked in the Middle East previously.
