Dell Field Service Engineer Position

We are seeking for a **Dell Field Service Engineer**. Below is the role description and responsibilities expected.
**Responsibilities**:
- Conduct weekly comprehensive system diagnostics, verify operational status of hardware/software components, and review system logs and alerts to preemptively address issues.
- Coordinate and perform firmware upgrades on-site, ensuring mínimal disruption.
- Backup critical configurations and data, validate post-upgrade functionality, and document upgrade activities.
- Identify and replace faulty CRUs, ensuring all replacements follow Dell’s best practices. Test and validate components and maintain records for inventory tracking.
- Provide on-site support for critical customer operations and urgent out-of-standard requests, including after-hours support.
- Plan and execute controlled power-off and power-on activities, minimizing operational impact, and verifying system stability post-power cycle.
- Maintain an up-to-date inventory of hardware and software, conduct regular audits, and provide detailed asset reports to customers.
- Perform in-depth diagnostics and resolve technical issues. Collaborate with OEM support teams for escalated issues.
- Prepare a monthly checklist of all performed activities, including details on tasks, pending issues, and required follow-ups.
- Provide training or knowledge transfer sessions as required.
**Qualifications**:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in IT systems support, technical troubleshooting, and diagnostics.
- Strong understanding of hardware/software systems, particularly Dell products.
- Proven ability to manage upgrades, asset inventory, and customer relations.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to adapt to changing customer needs and urgent requests.
