**Job Summary**:
The primary responsibility of the butler is to ensure the care and comfort of the family and all their requirements are met and to effectively manage the family’s requirements on a day-to-day basis. There are 10 staff supporting the family who are based on an estate made up of a Palace and 2 villas.

**Duties**:
The butler/home manager may not be required to personally carry out all the duties listed below but is responsible for ensuring that all tasks are completed which may include supervision and instructions for permanent staff or informal
- Welcoming guests
- Making dining and entertainment arrangements
- Taking care of the organization and cleaning of all clothes, including washing, ironing, minor repairs, and shoe cleaning
- Work according to the family’s request, whether inside or outside the country during their travels
- Care and maintenance of antiques, fine furniture, artwork, crystal and collectibles
- Inventory tasks for tools, artwork, and items of value Shopping and food stocking
- Organizing and supervising entertainment, parties and events
- Supervising the reception of house guests
- Management, coordination and supervision of all family employees
- Manage social diaries, travel arrangements and manage family requirements
- Coordination with the chef for the menu
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the family’s private housing
- Ensure that family rooms are clean
- Provide personal service to the family or guests as needed
- You may be required to travel with the family up to 3 times a year
- Keen attention to detail
- The ability to anticipate family needs
- Be personable and professional
- Have high levels of integrity
- Communication and organization skills (if managing a team of servants/service staff)
- The ability to multitask
- To be service oriented with a genuine desire to serve others, calm under pressure
- To be trustworthy, reliable, discreet and more proactive and predictive
- Anticipate family needs by learning about their preferences, sensitivities, dislikes, etc
- Understand social etiquette and forms of discourse. Ensure that cleaning and household chores are completed
- Perform all duties and obligations with courtesy and professionalism
- Get a deep knowledge of all the comforts of the family
- The ability to deal with sensitive matters efficiently and carefully
