Context:
As part of our team of expert engineers and CAD technicians, the Civil Design Engineers will work closely with colleagues of various disciplines, to oversee the detailed engineering, specifications, scheme designs and project reports submitted by the Design Build (DB) contractors.

Reporting to the Lead Civil (Design) your main duties will include the undertaking design reviews, monitoring interfaces and coordinating the civil construction project teams

Missions/Main Duties:

- Undertaking design review of drawings, calculations and specifications covering structural elements such as Bus stations, Stops, Pedestrian bridges, vehicle bridges, etc.
- Regularly liaising with the client, the design-build (DB) contractors and project stakeholders
- Reviewing of design calculations for Structural systems including footings, Superstructures, Slabs, retaining walls, equipment concrete pads using Saudi Building Code, American Code and latest available software (SAP, CSI Bridge, Prokon, SP Column, STAAD Pro, etc.).
- Ensuring DB contractors plans and drawings compliance with client specifications
- Reviewing and approving the DB contractor’s design submittals for line-side civil works including roads, earthworks, utilities, drainage, associated civil structures and cut and fill requirements.
- Reviewing Structural and architectural Design Drawings, electromechanical drawings, combined services coordinated drawings & Shop Drawings in relation with Structures scope.
- Monitoring change control throughout design and construction stages
- Ensuring design compliance with HSE and quality standards
- Participating in coordination meetings with the client, contractors and stakeholders to fully understand expected project goals.

Profile/Skills:

- Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering
- Minimum 10 years' experience in design and or reviewing design for Structural systems for similar Projects.
- In-depth knowledge of local and international standards.
- Detailed understanding of materials and Construction methods for structural elements.
- Transportation / Infrastructure Projects Experience
- Gulf area / Saudi Arabia experience.
- Ability to perform detailed calculations using relevant software.
