Performs assistance on assigned medical records functions quickly and accurately, works in various shifts as assigned in order to meet the Hospital operational needs.
**Essential Responsibilities and Duties**:
1. Assists in filing medical records in terminal digit order and loose sheet documents in correct patient’s record and volume, and creating folders for new charts as directed.
2. Prepares records for all Hospital’s branch and controls delivery and return of records.
3. Assists in performing all related functions for retrieval and delivery for Protocol, Emergency and walk-in patients charts as requested.
4. Assists in retrieving scheduled patient charts by clinics, transfers and confirms the records using chart tracking system, delivers and collects records to/from the clinics and refiles them.
5. Assists in preparing records to be reviewed and abstracted by Tumour Registry Unit
6. Answers telephone calls and takes necessary action, and assists in locating and retrieving records for administrative and patients care purposes. 7. Covers reception desk, greets customers, answers phone calls and takes clear and concise messages.
8. Assigns stat reports to in
- house Medical Transcriptionists, sends daily batches to outsource transcription service, and requests stat reports from outsource transcription service as directed.
9. Checks clearance for physicians, remove physicians with separation clearance from the system.
10. Uploads reports assigned for Arabic translation, and performs data entry for the Transcription Section as required.
12. Assists in replying to various correspondence and inquiries about patient’s health information from outside entities.
13. Reviews medical evaluations/ reports list for completion and updating the pending medical evaluations list.
14. Prepares documents for batch scanning using page separators and indexing sheets, and makes Medical Records copies, numbering, place in folders for legal and patient’s request.
15. Collects, sort, scan and/or file loose documents in the correct patient’s charts.
16. Receives and process CRM tickets, answer and call patents/customers related to Release of Information functions.
**Education**:
Bachelor’s or Associate Degree/Diploma in Hospital / Business Administration or other related discipline is required.
**Experience Required**:
No experience required with Bachelor’s Degree, or one (1) year of related experience with Associate Degree/Diploma is required.
**Other Requirements(Certificates)**:
Saudi Nationals only.
