**Major responsibilities of an Assistant Restaurant Manager are**:

- To ensure that catering facility operates efficiently and profitably while maintaining its scope and standards set out by the Client.
- To coordinate a variety of activities in relation to service, menu, staffing, health and safety, food safety and customer satisfaction while taking responsibility for daily business performance within dining facilities.
- To ensure that the Food and Beverage activities are aligned with the respective company Strategy, standards and that that all Actions have been implemented where appropriate.

**Key Accountabilities & Activities**:

- Strong knowledge on foodservices, restaurant operation, catering, events, and sequence of service.
- Customer focused and able to anticipate their needs.
- Strong mindset for immediate changes, quick problem solver, can activate initiatives immediately.
- Flexible and can implement a backup plan in case of emergencies or challenges.
- Excellent time management skills and able to meet strict deadlines.
- Organizes and participates onboarding trainings for all new members.
- Ensures all team members receive mandatory training and equipped to execute tasks accurately.
- Plans events and activities well ahead of time, does a full check and conducts briefing in a timely manner.
- Attention to details and a strong habit of routine checks related to customer journey, back of house, and outdoor areas.
- Establishes opening and closing checklist and check consistency of delivery by assigned team members.
- Highly customer oriented and ability to work professionally and diplomatically with individuals at all levels and experience levels.
- Demonstrates maturity and excellence in communication, ability to build effective teams, effective interpersonal communication, and the ability to initiate and model positive change.
- Capability to handle resident and client complaints, meet and find solutions.
- Ability to work under pressure and within strict deadlines and manage events and tasks effectively.
- Monitors all aspects of digital tech system activities and ensures all is up to date (online menu management, digital tags, online audit and checklist, allergen program and similar etc.).
- Enforces that high standards are practiced, pays attention to food quality, buffet set up and continuously come up with ideas to improve all aspects of operation and service.
- Keeps a good rapport with the service and culinary teams, attends and conducts trainings as per training needs.
- Conducts daily operational meetings with culinary teams, highlight challenges, guest feedback and sets up improvement plans.
- Aligns with Food & Beverage manager for objectives set by the client.
- Assists to conduct performance reviews with all team members and prepare PIP (performance improvement plan).
- Ensures teams maintain high level of cleanliness and hygiene in all operational areas (full guest journey).
- Ensures all inventory is conducted and all equipment’s is in good condition prior to use and service for events and reports any defects to avoid business interruptions.
- Attention to detail but also the ability to see the implications of the bigger picture and overall business perspective.
- Highly organization, strong time management, prioritizing and the ability to manage a complex, varied workload.
- Forecasts for event, planned activities, menus, staffing requirements and plans ahead for all operational requirements.
- Hands-on and on the floor during the operation and events, continually monitors all activities and ensures ready to assist team members in case of needs.
- Conducts internal audits and inspections - can be digitally and as requested by the Client.
- Helps attain Company’s Vision, Mission, Values and Food Safety Policy.
- Complies with Company’s Confidentiality Policy.
- Communicates daily activities with the restaurant manager and reports if any challenges.
- Makes recommendations and suggestions to improve efficiency of beverage services.
- Understands the sequence of event and related details if operating during an event.
- Ensures that colleagues conduct opening and closing checklist (could be digitally).
- Be flexible to support others in the team when required and help within other operational areas.
- Executes additional responsibilities with interest and deliver in a timely manner.
- Follows hygiene standards set as per Company policy.
- Must be able to work independently and take initiative.
- Conducts training and maintain training records.
- Assigns adequate manning for operation and plan ahead.
- Prepares training plans, induction plans and assigns buddy system for new joiners during trial period.
- Keeps a trace of upcoming inventory and special events and prepares the team accordingly.
- Prepares individual responsibility chart, assigns team members, and tasks, and monitors the delivery and performance.
