**ROLE PURPOSE**

As a Sr Engineer, he/she plays a crucial role in providing expert technical guidance and leadership to the diverse portfolio of projects. He/she will be responsible for executing various Electrical assignments, ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions to the clients. This role involves working closely with multidisciplinary teams, mentoring junior Engineers and designers. Collaborating with Client/Vendor Requirements for Substation Design for AIS, GIS Substations, Underground cable, and overhead transmission line works and develop drawings/documents for Primary Electrical Design, that meet project goals and operational standards.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & **ACCOUNTABILITIES**:

- **Project Management**: Lead and manage multiple Electrical engineering projects from inception to completion. This includes establishing project objectives, creating work plans, managing resources, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- **Design and Analysis**: Conduct detailed of primary electrical design and analysis for various systems, components, and equipment. This includes evaluating performance, efficiency, safety, and compliance with relevant codes and standards.
- **Client Collaboration**: Work closely with clients to understand their requirements, preferences, and objectives. Develop strong professional relationships and effectively communicate technical concepts and project progress to clients.
- **Team Leadership**: Mentor and guide junior engineers in their professional development. Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment, encouraging knowledge sharing and skills enhancement.
- **Quality Assurance**: Ensure that all Electrical deliverables meet the highest quality standards. Conduct thorough reviews of designs, reports, and documents to verify accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
- **Continuous Improvement**: Stay updated with the latest advancements in electrical design technologies, tools, and methodologies. Identify opportunities for process improvement and actively contribute to the enhancement of our engineering practices.
- **Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance**: Uphold the highest standards of safety and environmental responsibility in all engineering projects. Adhere to relevant regulations and implement appropriate safety measures.

**Project Delivery**:
Achieve an average project completion rate of 95%-98% within the specified timeline.

Ensure that 90%-95% of projects meet or exceed client expectations and receive positive feedback.

**Technical Excellence**:
Reduce design errors and rework by 20%-30% through thorough reviews and verification processes.

Implement 2-4 new design improvements or innovative solutions that enhance project efficiency or performance.

**Client Satisfaction**:
Maintain a client satisfaction score of 90%-95% based on post-project surveys.

**Team Development**:
Conduct 2-4 training sessions or workshops to enhance the skills of the Junior Engineers and designers in the team.

Facilitate the professional growth of team members, resulting in a 10%-15% improvement in their performance evaluations.

**Job-Specific Skills**:

- Proven expertise in 380Kv, 132kV, 33kV Substation/Underground/OHTL Primary System Design like preparation of Single line diagrams, electrical equipment layouts, HV/MV/LV duct banks & cable routing, grounding, shielding, lighting, small power, cable raceways, switchyard layouts, power transformers and auxiliary transformers arrangements, plan & profiles, and route plans for underground and overhead transmission line etc.
- Proven expertise in Primary system design calculations like Grounding, shielding, cable raceways, lighting, AC/DC equipment sizing & selection, sag & tension, cable induced sheath voltage etc.
- Good understanding of project technical specifications
- Proficiency in engineering software tools such as ETAP, CDEGS, CYMGRD, EDSA, EMTD, Dialux and other electrical engineering software’s.
- Experience in secondary engineering is an added advantage
- Experience of renewable energy projects is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
