Overview of the role

Be responsible for developing the facilities of the newly expanded holding company on the West and East Coast. Working with the design team and the FEED company through to the construction of the facilities, ensuring that the facilities are fit
- for-purpose to build and maintain assets in the defense, leisure and commercial maritime industry. Assure Technical Facilities are of high quality and in readiness for shipyards’ operations.
- Operational:

- Identify and maintain a depository of key assets within HolCo companies
- Oversee preparation of studies and programs of asset modernization/improvements and identify key and develop modernization roadmaps
- Support optimization of shipbuilding and MRO efforts to maximize revenue and profits
- Commercial:

- Manage the relationship with technical contractors, constructors, and concessionaires
- Ensure alignment between subsidiaries for operations and technical quality
- Management:

- Manage and oversee designers, architects, and engineers responsible for shipyards infrastructure
- Coordinate with other departments to receive relevant inputs on the development plans
- Secure approval on the developments from the Board and Shareholders
- Strategy:

- Act as a key advisor to the CEO on critical changes in the facilities and technical requirements
- Ensure periodic reporting on the progress of initiatives of strategic importance

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

- Oversight over contractors for technical facilities development and operations
- Assuring the high-quality of developed technical facilities
- Assuring operational readiness of technical facilities
- Coordination of technical facilities development with partners
- Analysis of competitors’ technical facilities
- Advising on best partners from the technical facilities perspective
- Advising to CEO on the development of new facilities or modernization of existing

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: Education : Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and/or Construction Professional Qualifications (Certifications & Accreditations) : Maritime Engineering Experience, Knowledge of Maritime technical facilities, and their characteristics Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities) : Strong engineering skills, Strong planning and organizational skills, Strong team management and people skills, Good verbal and written communications, High moral reputation, and proven integrity Experience : 10+ years of experience in Maritime / Facilities Engineering Languages : English, Arabic is a plus
