Generative Exploration Geoscientist

**Job Overview**

We are a dynamic and innovative multidisciplinary team specializing in mineral exploration for mining companies. Our team is passionate about leveraging cutting-edge technology to understand our resources better and extract them safely and responsibly. With the expanding market potential, we are currently seeking a Generative Exploration Geoscientist to join our team in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

**Principal Accountabilities**
- Work as part of our multi-disciplinary and international team, responsible for delivering high quality projects and solutions to our clients.
- Provide expertise on a broad range of mineral deposit styles, with an appreciation for both mineral systems based and more conventional exploration strategies.
- Design and implement exploration strategies at a range of scales, including desk-based and field programmes.
- Evaluate workflows to provide guidance on where improvements and scientific gains can be made.
- Data Review, Integration and Interpretation: Review, evaluate and interpret data from various sources, including (but not limited to) seismic, gravity, magnetics, geochemical, petrophysical and drillhole data. Your geology and minerals system expertise will be essential for extracting valuable information from historical oil and gas data.
- GIS & Data Processing: Utilize data processing techniques to extract meaningful insights from multidisciplinary datasets.
- Coordinate Transverse Collaborations: Engage with multidisciplinary teams within Viridien. Provide mentorship and training to other collaborators where appropriate.
- Client service: Effectively summarise complex information concisely and impactfully both verbally and in written reports and presentations for clients.

**Key Skills & Experience**

**Qualifications**
- At least 8 years’ experience, with a strong applied background in mineral exploration.
- Consulting firm experience will be advantageous.
- IT literate, knowledge of or exposure to data science would be advantageous.

**Software Proficiency**
- Essential: ArcGIS & Leapfrog
- Preferable: Petrel, Studio, IoGAS, QGIS

**Desired Job Skillsets**
- Proven track record in mineral systems assessments and detailed mineral endowment analysis.
- Action orientated team player with initiative.
- Strong collaborator across disciplines and geographies.
- Excellent communication and client services skills in English.
- Reliable, conscientious and detail orientated.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and data management skills.
- Chartered qualification preferable.
- Ability to work autonomously and with mínimal supervision.
